    • The Truth About The Musical Family

      STRINGS

      Violin: The annoying squeaky child prodigy of the family. He's always showing off but his mother is convinced he's a genius. So is he.

      Viola: Violin's gawky older sister. Not bad-looking but never makes an effort with her appearance. A bit of a nerd, chronically shy and is only ever heard in a group.

      Cello: The still young and sexy mother. Probably cheating on the father with an electric bass. Not withstanding that, she is very protective and warm.

      Double bass: The husband who KNOWS he's too old and uncool for his wife. But by now he's just too tired to keep trying, so he just does his job and ignores the obvious problems around him.

      WOODWIND

      Flute: Paris Hilton in musical instrument form. Thin and a bit dim, doesn't have many opinions of her own but her voice is nonetheless frequently heard.

      Piccolo: The flute's designer dog that lives in her handbag.

      Oboe: Flute's whiny, neurotic brother who is oddly attractive, but everybody thinks he's probably gay.

      Cor anglais: Oboe's friend, exactly like him except that people don't think cor is gay.

      Clarinet: The mother. Cello's best friend, and likes to think she's just as sexy as her. But everyone else thinks she's just a slut.

      Bass Clarinet: Clarinet's next-door neighbour that she will go to for casual sex on often occasions.

      Bassoon: The crazy bachelor uncle. Big, manly, but has a bit of a digestion problem.

      BRASS

      Trumpet: The younger brother who really really wants to join the army. Speaks so loudly that you can hear him even when he's not in the room. Commands attention but mostly just repeats himself.

      French horn: The stunningly beautiful sister, who is also intelligent and respected. Unfortunately, she's too inarticulate to express herself coherently.

      Trombone: The older brother who doesn't officially still live with the family but is always in the house. Speaks in a monotone. Slips and falls over a lot.

      Tuba: The brass family probably do have parents, but nobody knows where they are. So their official guardian is their grandad the tuba, who's usually asleep in a chair but occasionally wakes up and shouts at everyone.

      PERCUSSION

      Timpani: The mother. She differs from the rest of the family in that she doesn't just say the same thing all the time. That said, she only has a few topics of conversation.

      Bass drum: The angry dad that doesn't ever ask you something politely, just shouts loud enough for the String family to hear.

      Snare drum: The annoying ghost that lives in the wall. And taps on it. All the time. Until you want to shoot yourself.

      Glockenspiel: The daughter who is useful but annoying.

      Xylophone: Glockenspiel's tall, environmentally friendly, and not quite as shallow friend.

      Triangle: The baby who cries a lot.

    My result is: Violin

    You are at the 'top' of your game. you are generally very popular and sociable. You like talking to people, and having debates and such. You are very intelligent; and sometimes these debates make you look very pompus. Try not being to 'stuck-up' because you are very emotionally unstable and might need a shoulder to cry on. Violins often trap themselves into situations and have no TRUE friends to lean on, this is where we get such sad melodies.
