I stood in the empty kitchen, a secret smile slowly spreading over my lips. Voices. Quickly, I pulled on the kitchen maids outfit. Scullery maids began to bustle around. I listened to each of them, gossiping about THEM, about HER.
“Lovely lady…”
“They look so happy…..”
“….Very beautiful..”
I rolled my eyes to myself. Lovely lady blah! If only they knew…..if only the knew…The small smile slowly spread over my lips once more but soon disappeared when a platter of food was pushed into my arms.

I could see them. Sitting there. Together. Smiling. Talking. Laughing. It was a sickening sight. I held my breath. He was moving closer to her. Closer. Closer. I watched wide eyed as his lips touched hers. My insides twisted that I almost cried out. I swallowed. This was it. I hurried back to the kitchen. Empty. I smiled. Perfect. I stood by the drinks, and took a little bottle from my pouch. I pulled off the top and tipped it into a glass. One drop. Two drops. Three drops, four. I placed the bottle back in my pouch, picked up the tray and smiled. I headed to the door. Where they both awaited.

My head down. I placed the tray before them. Caught a glimpse of her beautiful pale face as she turned to me. She smiled and picked up her cup. I fought my smile as he picked up his own. I took a step back and watched her drink. I Watched with glee as her eyes widened. He watched in horror and confusion as the cup slips from her hands, she clutches her throat, fighting for breath. Excitement builds up inside me as she falls to the floor lying ever so still. He knelt by her lifeless body, holding her close. He turns to me. I smile. Slowly I pull off my bonnet.

His face stares in horror.
“Tiffany?”
I smile.
“Yes, yes, its me my love.”
He looks down from the blood drained body then back to me.
“What have you done?”
I look at him, confusion filling me.
“Well….I saved you my love. I saved you.”
“From what?” he demanded.
I knelt next to him.
“From her. From the witch. She had you under a spell…to steal you away from me.”
Confusion filled his face. He didn’t understand poor soul. Didn’t understand what she’d done to him. He thought he was actually in love with her and that she was in love with him…..My poor love.
“Tiffany,” he says softly, clutching his cold lover. “ I’m not in love with you…..I…I never was.”
I stare. What did he mean? He’d never loved me? Was this the spell that witch cast on him?
“But….but you helped me…carry my things to my home.”
He sighed and shook his head.
“I saw you struggling and thought you may of needed help,” he said sadly.
I stood up, tears spilling down my cheeks.
“But…but you gave me…that rose…before you left.”
“It had fallen from you rose bush and I picked it up and returned it to you.”
I could feel the pain deepening inside me. He didn’t love me. Never had. He was just being polite. And he was only returning my rose. Anger flared up inside of me and I glared at him.
“LIES!” I screamed. “ YOU LOVED ME! LIKE I LOVED YOU!”
He clutched his ex lover and shook his head
“But it doesn’t matter any more”, I said calmly. “She’s dead, and you and I can be together like we are supposed to.”
I held my hand to him. He turned away from it. A tear slid down my cheek.
“Then I am sorry my love, but, if I can not have you…then no one will.”
I pulled out a dagger and as he turned to face me, I pierced the dagger into his chest. He looked at me, wide eyed, showing pain, betrayal and then nothing as he sank to the floor.

Now, I sit here, next to my loves body, writing for the last time. I tried to help him, tried to snap him out of the witches spell…but I couldn’t… the only way out was his death. But now, I need to be with my love. I must reunite our souls so we can be together as one once more.

I placed down my book. Looked over at my loves profile. Perfect. So handsom

Sitting on my bedroom windowsill,

the night falls with a silent sigh, lost are we.

flares once, then dies,

It is a night of darkness, a song of death,
wolves vent their cry. The eternal one
stirs.

Wisps of death shrouds her deathly form,
an eternal wrath.

Her raven hair cascades over
pale and tragic shoulders, and her
full blood red lips part slightly, to taste the
soul streaming from the
pale flesh beneath
her.

Now a night of darkness,
I weep.



*Imprisoned*

Slender beams of moonlight enter
this darkened chamber as I kneel,
always a slave, always silent,
frozen here,
waiting.

Tortured forms wrought in panes of glass loom as
dust dances in the air,
forming an image in my mind,
penetrating my darkened soul.

Pain on a deathless face.

I raise my head, now kneeling before
this uncaring reality.

Trees surrounding me, Graves guiding me,
Gasping, fear scalding my throat,
As death brushes against my bare shoulders,
Feeling its penetrating eyes scorch into my neck.

Ghosts surrounding me, spirits guiding me,
Choking, my heart beat slowing,
As Darkness creeps up behind me,
Feeling its ghostly presence smother me.

Cries surrounding me, whispers guiding me,
Drowning, my blood running cold,
As my lust pumps through my veins,
Feeling my aura fading slowly.

Darkness surrounds me, darkness guiding me,
Gasping, Choking, Drowning,
As I turn and face my fear,
Hearing deaths eternal laugh,
Feeling him reach into my soul…

Around, all around, the shadows gather.
My dread grows as the stroke of death falls against my naked soul.
It crushes me, and darkly my
essence drips
to the dead grass.
In pain I flee
while death laughs cruelly.
Now alone, my soul falls upon dead eyes.
