SpongeBob SquarePants - If you could describe SpongeBob with three words they would be naive, optimistic, and square. He never seems to know what is really going on. SpongeBob can never be bored because everything he does he uses his imagination. He works at the Krusty Krab, the home of the Krabby Patty, and is a fry-cook legend. His favorite thing to do (besides flip patties) is playing with his best friend, Patrick. He also lives in a pineapple! Patrick Star - Patrick, the chubby pink starfish, is SpongeBob's best friend. They even joined the Best Friends Forever Club. Patrick always comes up with some crazy idea that SpongeBob performs. The failures may show that Patrick isn't the brightest creature in Bikini Bottom. In fact, he's far from it.

Patrick Star - Patrick Star is a character in SpongeBob Squarepants. He is friendly, yet sometimes an aggressive starfish and SpongeBob's best friend. He and SpongeBob have apparently known each other since infancy, and they share many interests (jelly fishing, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy, bubble blowing, etc.). In the episode "Rule of Dumb," it is revealed that he and SpongeBob's pet snail, Gary, are cousins. Patrick is always stupid, and he often convinces SpongeBob to accompany him in dangerous or fruitless activities, such as playing near fish hooks and eating whole pumpkins. However, in the episode "The Bully," it is noted that he went to community college. His stupidity can be so potent that he sometimes suffers from lapses of memory (like trying to eat a chocolate bar twice) and complete shutdown of any thought whatsoever. In the episode 'Patrick Smartpants' Patrick falls of a cliff and seems to have become super smart. However, Spongebob later realizes that he accidentally put brain coral on Patrick instead of his head. When Spongebob reverses the change, Patrick returns to normal. In spite of the disastrous outcomes of Patrick's ideas, SpongeBob constantly attests to Patrick's genius and consults the starfish for advice and guidance. Patrick is revealed to be able to play many instruments like the drums. Patrick has no job or trade and spends most of his time sleeping in under his rock house or playing with SpongeBob. He does give advice to SpongeBob, although it's not practical. When he tries to find work, it is shown that he has little practical skill; for example in "Big Pink Loser," he struggles with tasks such as sweeping or opening a jar. Patrick lives two houses down from Spongebob under a rock at 120 Conch Street. He has also been a criminal many times in the series, like in the episodes Life of Crime and SpongeBob meets the Strangler among others. Patrick has a mother and a father. They are both Starfish. They are rarely seen in the series. Patrick's father's name is Herb. Meanwhile, his mother's name is Margie. Patrick is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke.



Squidward Tentacles - Squidward lives next door to SpongeBob and Patrick. All he wants is peace and quiet, but living with those two makes it hard. Squidward is always upset about everything (except when he plays his clarinet), which explains why he goes around being Mr. Grumpy. He lives in a house faced like himself, a squid. He works as a cashier at the Krusty Krab, and, unlike SpongeBob, he hates his job. He would like to become famous and rich. Sandy Cheeks - Sandy, the one with the air helmet, lives in an air bubble and is one mad / crazy girl from Texas! She's really good in karate and is the strongest character in Bikini Bottom, so NEVER insult Texas while around her, or she'll fix you real nice. She loves science, too! Mr. Eugene H. Krabs - Mr. Krabs is SpongeBob and Squidward's money hungry boss at the Krusty Krab. He really does love his customers and employees a lot (probably for their money), but he'll do anything to get a few dollars, or even a dime! His hobbies include counting money and saying "Argh!"
