- The Renegades of Orpheus were founded in June 2003 by Mathew O'Brien and Gavin Lyons in response to their equal dislike of what the local music scene had to offer and more importantly as an out let for their political beliefs. Once Shane Mason (a local talented guitarist who had already had a reputation for his skills on both guitar and vocals) joined they were on their way!!
Mathew who is the first cousin of the Indy signed rap sensation O'Dogg, decided that he too will chance his skills as a rapper!
Part of their act was to speck out on injustices, Matt who was the most passionate about his beliefs gave speeches to audiences. Unfortunately Matt was not happy trying to rap and drum at the same time, so after careful consideration the band recruited Eoin Scott (Scottie) as a second drummer.
