We are Carbon Copy. We're a small band with a big average height (thanks to Dave n Rory and Lurch when he plays with us)! We like to play melodies and entertain young impressionable minds under the guise of a "BAND". We are in fact more like a musical entity formed in the earths crust and enriched with the carbon of a young pencil not knowing whether we will just be nibbled away or used to write a musical masterpiece. I'd prefer to think the latter is true however that nibbling thing sounds like fun too.
We have a website that we use as a medium to talk about impotant relevent issues such as how strong dave is or how "heterosexual" Fitzy is. Other parts of the webite are dedicated to less important stuff such as music and tour dates. You don't need to worry about that stuff.
www.carboncopymusic.com, we just updated our downloads with new songs, also check out our myspace page at myspace.com/carboncopymusic

Damien Shine To Support
The brilliant Damien Shine will play support to Carbon Copy this Wednesday coming (June 4th) in their last gig ever. The Cork singer songwriter will play a short acoustic set. I would describe his sound as being like Jack Johnson mixed with James Taylor... only better so come along early to check him out! Also there will be a limited amount of FREE carbon copy EPs handed out on the night. It's gonna be FREE, in Cyprus Avenue and a lot of fun so come along!! Spread the word, text people, blog, email or whatever is done these days and make sure you're there cos you won't want to miss it! See you there! Cian & Carbon Copy..0 Comments 539 days

Hey there
Dave from Hotpress here...
Just wanted to tell you about a great Hot Press initiative for Irish acts, signed and unsigned....
The Tisch Music Video Programme:
Just email us an mp3 of a song...
12 students from the Tisch School of Arts, New York have just arrived in Dublin. They listen to all the submitted tracks and each picks a song to make a music video for - at no cost to the artist.
Acts that have had videos made include Republic of Loose, The Frames, Royseven, Laura Izibor, Neosupervital - and a whole host of rising acts you might not (yet) be familiar with.
DEADLINE for entries is FEB 4th (so best get moving!)
Full details available HERE...

Hey lads.... How's life in your wonderful world?
We're playing Cyprus Avenue this Tuesday the 27th with Opium Of The Masses and Mamyko....
If ye're around, we'd love to entertain you and wet your appetites with a jam covered scone (raspberry, of course). Hope to see you there! All the best!
Top of the mornin' to ya!
A quick shout to all the musicians and venue owners, announcing a new "free" resource for Irish Musicians, Bands and Venues, its a pet project of mine, built from the ground up! To inform, share, and promote music in Ireland by creating a friendly creative community! Lots of lovely features too, like a built-in Music Player, Personalized Profiles, Private Messaging & Public Comments System and plenty of other useful stuff.
I know there are loads of sites that do this, but EireJam has one extra feature, individual musicians profiles! Not just Bands. Hey, Free promotion is free right? And as always, you can link it back to Bebo, MySpace, or Blastspace profiles!
The address is:-
http://www.EireJam.com
I hope this is of use to you! If not, and you've read this far, then thanks for reading regardless!
Help bring the Irish Music community together!
Right Rory aka Captain Planet I really tried to get some of the old stories about his "college" days with your mum out of him......it was like sucking blood from a stone, the best I got from him tonight was that your mum was called "No Balls Barry" through out her college career! Apparently there was a character in some tv show or something called No Balls (ya I know I was freaked when I found out that they had TV back then too!), I'm guessing her maiden name was Barry and as she was one of like 5 girls in her class, who clearly dont have balls....they ingeniously came up with "No Balls Barry". Yeah it's pathetic I know, I'll be spontaneously attacking Dad with questions to see if I can get anything better out of him!
Just listened to your songs there, don't think in the superhero crowd surfing/lights smashing/potentially getting kicked out mayhem last night that I had a chance to fully appreciated them! Savage songs.......Yacht on!!
Hey guys, ray from General Rock Kilkenny. Had listen to your stuff and would like to offer ye guys to come play in kilkenny sometime over the summer.
