Nós Úr
Thanks to all who voted for me in the Nós Úr competition in Inverness last Saturday. I came second in the public vote but got the jury vote so off I go to Holland in October to represent the Celts in the Pan-European Languages Song Contest!

Fiach is a 24 year old Dubliner, well respected and loved within the Irish music scene for his beautiful songwriting, exceptional voice and fantastic guitar playing. He is fondly known as the 'Hardest Working Musician in Dublin', but it was his talent that found him sharing the stage with the cream of Irish artists such as Damien Dempsey, Declan O' Rourke, Finbar Furey, Hazel O'Connor, Mundy, Frames, Aslan, Luka Bloom and Paddy Casey who incidentally said that Fiach's song 'Dignity' was the best song he heard in 2005.
Fiach is known for his humourous and honest live shows and his raw approach to his music, often bringing guests on stage to openly jam; but it is his voice that really hits home...it is full with expression and control, some times hard and coarse to direct his agression on political and social issues, then suddenly wrapped around you with soft lyrics and breathy tones in his seeringly confessional lyrics.
His concerts are where this young artist shines, always unpredictable, and always a very special event. Up to now, Fiach has been steady on the gig circuit, playing festivals in France, Holland, New York and Scotland as well as gracing every top venue in Ireland, so it is only a matter of time before he is playing at a venue near you...so check out a gig and see what the Dublin music scene has been quietly hiding, and what it soon will be able to hide no more.

Alright Fiach,
Ever since I saw you play in Whelan's I've grown into your music. Us Folk, You Dear and Letting go are my favourites but the rest are good. Been linking your stuff to my friends and few said you are good and far play to you as its hard to get into the music industry.
Rest assured I will buy the first album next year.
