- STRAIGHT IN NO KISSING out 31 OCTOBER 2008
“Dirty, kick-ass rock and roll is the stuff of Dirty Epics, a four-piece Dublin band”
(The Event Guide)
Straight In No Kissing is a collection of songs which range from feisty fun (The Cure, PONY) to thumping and powerful tunes (We’re Coming Up, Overrated) which are a super cynical look at life, love and the perils of putting yourself out there!
Dirty Epics have a unique punky rock poptastic sound which stems from a mass of diverse influences, Kings of Leon, Iggy & The Stooges, Blondie... Solid Drums and Bass, driving Guitars, powerful vocals and a kick ass sexy front woman make for eye popping live shows and give Dirty Epics their edge.
They will follow the release of their brand new single “Way Too Pretty” 03/10/08 by their much anticipated debut album “Straight In No Kissing” on the 31st of October 2008 on their own label SCAR Records and distributed by Universal Music Ireland.
Their thrilling performances have seen them gig at: Tripod - supporting The Rapture, Crawdaddy – their Launch Gig in April 07 was voted “Gig of the Week” by The Irish Times The Ticket, The New Bands Stage - Oxegen 2007 and this year The Green Stage at Oxegen 2008, Indie Pendence, Castlepooloza and with Republic Of Loose in The Academy, The POD at their packed out Hard Working Class Heroes performance, Music Ireland in the RDS and various other hotspots around the country…

Guinness - The drink of The Gods!!
Last Thursday we took part in the global celebration of a man called Arthur and a drink called Guinness by playing two gigs in Dublin.
The first was an accoustic set in Sin E on the quays and the other later on in Dicey Reillys.
There was a serious festival vibe around Dublin which was definitely confirmed the next day by
lots of ungodly hangovers and the powerful stench of well...peoples arses...as we all know Guinness is a rich drink...enough said!!!
Accoustic is not something we do very often for live shows, only really for radio but it was good fun and great doing a slowed down bluesy version of Search and Destroy.
Later in Diceys we were back to electric and we tried out a brand new song called Enthralled, which the crowd assured us rocked!! People were really lovely there and also very drunk so after we finished it was our turn to have a few and toast a man called Arthur.
