- AB/DC have again returned with a new line up, now concentrating solely on the Bonn Scott era. In January 2009 Brian Crombie officially left the band due to health issues. The band has since appointed Mark Farquhar to replace Brian. The complete line up now consists of Mark (Bonn Scott), Brian “The Aberdeen Angus” Massie (Angus Young), Davie Hay (Cliff Williams), Al Smith (Malcolm Young) and finally Scott “The Tunk” Reid (Phil Rudd).
AB/DC was initially formed in March 2006 on the back of a long unfulfilled ambition of Brian Massie and Tunk to play the powerful rock anthems of AC/DC. AB/DC first came to life to the crashes of thunderous applause in September 2006, playing to a 300 strong crowd at Aberdeen’s Café Drummonds.
The band has played all over Scotland, including Inverness, Dundee, Glasgow and many return dates in Aberdeen to name a few, rocking crowds with there lively and accomplished ACDC tribute. The band has also made 2 Wizard festival appearances, in ’07 and ’08.

New line up
Well as most of our followers/fans will know already, Brian Crombie has left ABDC due to health issues. The departure of Brian was a massive blow to all invloved with ABDC, and the band was very close to calling it a day. Brian was a massive part of the band, an amazing front man, and more importantly a brilliant band mate, but unfortunately Brian had a heart attack in November 2008 and decided to leave the band in January 2009. We wish Brian all the best for the future, and hope he keeps recovering well.
When Brian left we had a massive void to fill, and to be honest we though it was one that would force us to call ABDC a day. However, we were lucky that Aberdeen singing sensation Mark Farquhar had returned to the Aberdeen music scene, and agreed to join the band. Mark is a very experienced musician, previously having played with some great bands such as Pie Shop and DV8. Since Mark joined the band, we have decided to concentrate on the Bonn Scott years, giving us the opportunity to add some songs to our set which we had never previously done.
We plan to carry on gigging as much as possible, just as before. Please keep an eye on all our web pages for gig details.0 comentarios 204 días

WIZARD FESTIVAL 2007
WOW!!!
What can we say, it was a massive success! Played on the second last slot on the Friday night to a 400 strong audience in the Banshee tent as well as a good few others standing outside!
Thank you to everyone who showed their support, you made it a very special night for us! See you next year (hopefully)
