Tears for mankind.

I cry these tears for mankind
For those to weak to stand
And fight for their cause.
For those beaten down with their backs against the wall
Silenced for their existence.

The world has had enough tragedies
Without you adding to the list
Of the terrified person
On the receiving end of your fist.

Scared and hurt
She will not tell
She fears her life
We all know too well.

Threats begin, she fears for her safety
She forgets her friends, trying to protect them from it
They take it the wrong way,
She's alone now.

The final straw has yet to come,
Will their next threat tip her over the edge?

Months pass, seasons change
Only one fact remains the same
She's still threatened, still worried about her friends
Still scared that every time she goes out it may be her last.

Rounding a corner, she sees her fears,
They've seen her too and charge at her,
Blows rain down upon her head; soon she’s on the floor,
They leave her later, thinking her dead,
She steps into an empty house, almost relieved at the lack of life.

Up the stairs and across the landing,
Into her room, she takes some pills.
From her drawer a knife is present she cuts her wrists
And waits for death to collect her.

Days later, on the telly
Are the faces of her tormenters,
Crying crocodile tears, saying they won't be the same without her.
The girl, before she died, put her diary in plane view,
Everyone knows her suffering... the pain... the torture...
THE LONLINESS.

He’s gone

His hand upon mine, a soft kiss on the lips,
Sacred words passed through his lips to my ear,
I look into his eyes, shining bright with tears,
My reflection in his pain ridden tears.

I see the truth for my eyes only,
I close my eyes, tears roll down my face.
He lifts a hand, to wipe away tears,
The warmth of his hand bringing more tears.

No more kisses, no more hugs
He is gone from this world,
For an eternity,
An eternity from him.

I see him every night, and everything’s the same,
Only he and I are together,
Laughing and kissing,
No pain there at all.

I wake from slumber, this very night,
‘I love you too’ I whisper to the darkness.
In reply to his last words.
