We are an Hip Hop group by the name of "RARE" located here in the Midwest. Milwaukee to be exact. Shaolin Entertainment is the label.
RARE consists of three members "BIG DADDY JOE" A.K.A "MOE JOE", "ELFY", and "TOMSON". This trio rocks the mic like no other MC you've ever heard. They truly possess the essence of hip hop entertainment. The name "RARE" truly describes the level of their performance, creating what we now know and love "RARE", thus starting the hip-hop revolution for the Asian community.

- RARE has performed in Milwaukee at the RAVE/EAGLES ballroom, in Chicago on X-POZ'E T.V. show, Fresno, Ca. at the RAINBOW Ballroom, Minnesota – Aldrich Arena, various festivities/community events, etc. across the nation. RARE has opened up for many mainstream artist such as Yukmouth of the Luniz, TRAE from DJs screw screwed up click, Dirty, and recently KANYE WEST of roccafella, Ludacris of Def Jam South, CLIPSE of star trak, N.E.R.D.S. of the neptunes, Don Juan – Playaz Ball, LYRICS BORN, TWISTA of Atlantic recording co., Black Eye Peas, MC Search (The White Rapper Show), and the legend himself: Afrika Bambaataa. What makes RARE a hot commodity are several elements. Number one would be their great attitude, consistency, dedication to their craft, they write and produce their own music, last but not least they keep it all in the family. They get along so well. - Sports of course. I like soccer a little bit. My thing no doubt is basketball. Where ma' ballaz at? Run N' Gun, that's my tournament squad. I like to read, only certain things though. Pick up tips. Anything that will help me gain knowledge and keep me on my feet. I enjoy seminars and small classes. I love debates. I am into politics. Love being sociable. I write my life away. Not just lyrics, poetry fulfills me. Very laid back and at the same time, up and hyper. I like taking time out with myself. Cruising around the city, attempting to get lost. The lakeside is nice, I like to drift away. When I'm not with myself, lost in my own world, I’m out enjoying the nightlife. I like smaller venues. Smaller bars or cafes. I like to lounge out. Catch local Hip Hop shows, seeing new talent. Going to community based organizations. Enjoy a smaller friendlier atmosphere. Something like the show “Cheers.” More into house parties than clubs. I like to mellow out. Come chill with me!
- Drinks
- I'm strictly a beer drinker. But give me anything and I'll drink it. Don't like shots, but I'll take 'em. I'm down for whatever. I love water!
- Food
- Whatever it is put it in my stomach. I'm skinny, but my soul is a fat ass! I love food. I'll eat like a pig in front of anybody. Not really a healthy eater. Although, I am a big fan of salads and sub sandwiches. Mainly, all I eat is junk food. I love chinese, fried Rice-Yumm!, But I'd say General Tso's Chicken. American-country fried steak and meatloaf. Got to love them burgers-no onions please! Greek food-Gyro sandwiches-drewl!
- Gear
- I hate jerseys. Uhh!! I do wear street gear/urban wear-Pelle Pelle, Perry Ellis, Ecko, Polo, Enyce, etc. Mostly T-shirts and I‘m a big fan of sweats and hoodies. Nice and comfty. I love shopping at “Hot Topic.” I wear Rock T-shirts and T-shirts of legends. I love T-shirts with slogans and writing on them. I also like wearing promotional demo T’s. Like stuff you’ll get from a local CD Store or a Bar or Organization. Free T’s. Cool. For hats….only Truckers. Not a hat guy. I like funky beanies. I like to dress simple. Nothing flashy. Just plain ’ol me. Oh! One more thing, nice sophisticated suits are nice, too. Pimped out (gotta love the handsome side!).

Goals/Challenges
To do something for God one day before I die. To be a soldier for his righteousness. To find a beautiful, loving wife in the long future. To raise me a nice happy family. Prepare my children for the road ahead of them. Lead by example. My challenge is to be the father I always wanted to be. To have a “Best Daddy In The World” mug. Hahaha. To feel and overcome the pain and suffering my parents went through. To provide for my parents the life they never had. Offer them everything they dreamed of. They could live off me so they don’t have to move a muscle anymore. Pay back for the damage I’ve caused. To influence lives and touch the hearts of others. To spread my voice and opinion to the world. To give to the needy. I want to give back to the community. Grow a strong nation. Give my people a voice. Give us recognition and acceptance. Donate large sums of money. Travel across seas and visit other countries. The community needs me, the world is calling me. I am the chosen one. I will do good with my money. Show others what they are lacking. I will love freedom, not wealth. I will strike back at those who have done me wrong. Vindication. Not revenge. Fuck revenge. I will prove to everyone the beauty of the Human Spirit. I will be simple. My challenge is to never lose myself. Never give in to the spoils of this earth. Keep my composure. Be “me”. To give up everything I never had.

Influences
Inspiration. Mo Joe influenced me to rap. He's where it all started. Big ups to my boy. I love my parents and all those I look up to, but even they didn't influence me to make decisions. They taught me lots of morals and values, I’ll give them that. Love them to death. They never spoiled me. I've always been a man of my own. I take my own paths. I got to thank the world for being so corrupted. It has influenced me to be a better person. I want nothing to do with the world and I always try not to live like it. That's what makes me stronger. I create a world of my own. Block myself from the outside obstacles. Find Heaven on earth. Music and success is all I live for. The ability to write, the freedom to express myself, and the opportunity to spread my voice to the world. What else can I ask for? This is my passion. Music is the only thing to influence me to live these days. Also power and respect are things I need. Show me the money!!! The Holy Spirit is the greatest influence of all. Spirit moves through all things.
