now this is a story all about how
some fish lives got turned upside down
and i'd like to take a minute just sit right there
ill tell ya how kawakawa bay became a reserve

in hauraki gulf born and raised
dodging fish nets was how i spent most of my days
dipping and swerving and keeping so cool
playing some kelp-ball with the rest of ma school
when a couple of girls who were up to some good
started making changes to a neighbourhood
almost got caught in a net and my mom got scared
said "ya moving to kawakawa bay reserve"

i swam into a rip and when i got there
the water was fresh and there was food everywhere
if anything i could tell this place was rare
so i thought dont forget it
Yo homies come here!

they pulled up to the reserve around 7 or 8
and i yelled to ma homies yo home, smell the water
looked at my kingdom i was finally there
escaping my life where everything was bare

1. i krumped on emmas drivway..and it beat me up for it

2. harri and me waltzed and almost tripped...my lip got cut open somehow

3. at the age of 5 and after 2 months of practicing very hard every day i stepped onto the stage at my ballet concert nd still didnt know my dance so i improvised and tried to copy everyone else

4. in my ballet lessons during those 2 long months all the parents laughed at me because i was so un-co

5. my legs have absolutely no muscles

6. movement is not my thing...sittng by the heater watching house and boston legal is!
