This Saturday sees the return of another one of our favourite guests, Electronic Ireland head honcho Mike McCoy. Mike rocked the Tikki with his live show backed in April and was due to play again in October but unfortunately had to cancel due to technical difficulties. However, with the exploding laptop problem now in hand, we can expect to hear some more dark intelligent techno rumbling out of the Tikki's speakers. Support on the night comes from Schmutzig resident and birthday boy Glenn K, alongside Kudos' Peter Stringer lookalike, Mark D.
Admission: 5 euro before half 11 and 10 euro thereafter through the Isobar

This week sees the return of the prodigal Tikki resident Brian Shelly. We havent seen much of him since his move to Limerick-Land but hopefully it wont have affected his ability to deliver us one of his perfectly mixed trademark sets of lush Detroit techno. Support on the night comes from Cork's number one David Hasselhoff impersonator and electro connoisseur Crossan, who rocked the place on the last two occasions he played the Tikki, so we can probably expect more quality techno and electro and not dodgy pop songs.

After the (surprising0 success of their last 4 deck experiment back in October, Schmutzig residents Jamie Behan and Sean Galvin will be putting together a special extended version to mark the beginning of the drinking season. Expect to hear an mix of hard, funky, minimal,and detroit techno, spliced together with ghetto tek, chicago house, deep house, tech house,and accapellas, across 4 decks. Rumour has it that gingerest Schmutzig resident may be back from his travels to support on the night.

Foreign Bodies [LIVE]

FOREIGN BODIES was formed in 2004 by Luca Pentek and Kevin O Flynn out
of boredom. Luckily in 2007 they find themselves still just as bored
so they still continue to roll out these senseless beats. Due to the
success of Luca Pentek in euro star in 2005, Foreign Bodies have found
themselves with a steady fan base mainly consisting of pubescent
schoolgirls averaging of a good age of eleven to fourteen year olds.
After such time Foreign Bodies came to a dark place, namely playing
birthday parties four o clock on a Sunday afternoon. After continuous
negative feedback due to the lack of drum and bass they decided to
return to the Friday and Saturday night of a nightclub.
The Cork based duo play live electro and techno using mainly hardware
equipment over the last three years and put on quite the live show.

Itchi & The Optimist

4 decks, 3 mixers, 2 DJ's; one hip hop based, one techno based;
Innercity @ Electric Picnic representatives Itchi & The Optimist make
their second appearance as a duo at Schmutzig. Both have been doing an
excellent job of keeping punters entertained since 2004 with their own
take on electro & techno. They have warmed up for acts such as Sneak
Thief, DJ Godfather and Modeselector.
Itchi is a DMC hip-hop/electro/techno turntablist/DJ/vinyl fiddler.

Cork-based DJ and Producer The Optimist has been refining his own
destructive brand of dance floor music, combining styles and sounds
from electro, techno and turntablism. You may have seen him make
appearances at Sir Henry's, Traffic and The Trinity Rooms.
November 17th
CJ Fitz (Electronic Ireland/Horan's – Tralee)
support from Sean Galvin
So far CJ has supported Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty, Christian Smith,
Trevor Rockcliffe, and Justin Robertson to name but a few. He was a
regular at Horan's in Tralee as well as a regular for Bastardo
Electrico in cork since 2002. He is a firm favourite at Electric City
in Dublin, having already made 3 appearances and a warm up slot for
Christian Smith on the 27th of April, as well as warming up in Tralee
for Smith 2 days later. Viva in Limerick is another place you'd see CJ
spinning frequently. He is just back from Amsterdam after studying
electronic music production.

warren's first club experience like many other cork dj's was at the
legendary sweat nights in sir henry's, soon after decks and as mixer
were purchased and he hasn't looked back since.
his first break came when he got accepted for the red bull music
academy in dublin and got a set at influx's famous techno night in the
kitchen nightclub, which was lucky because soon after they started a
night in the pav, cork and he was asked to be resident where he warmed
up for the likes of umek, justin robertson, darren emerson and billy
nasty.
soon followed the setting up of the oil barons ball with like minded
heads in the pav, when influx moved from the pav to maas, warren and
the oil barons followed and then moved on to sir henry's.
he has also played across the water in england, spain and holland.
warren has a diverse taste in music through all styles of house,
techno, electro, d'n'b and most recently dubstep, for this night i
think we can expect some dancefloor friendly 4 to the floor!
All happens @ The Tikki Lounge, Little Hanover st. (next to Isobar/Mardyke)
