land of the free, part deux
alright, so ill give this thing another go since last summer's blog was a raging failure! history repeated itself with trouble involving the airport. while last year it was getting there, this yer it was being there. problems with tickets and visa dates resulted in me having to change my departure date. so ill be leaving sept 12th- day i turn 21. then when going through immigration, the very horrible lady working there was very suspicious of me and my intentions for my stay in her country. re:the flight, however, while long and tiring it was ok thanks to the oldish friendly man sitting beside me. he was a talker so the time went by quickly, and if anyone ever wants to go to the bahamas or get a job in insurance, i know a guy! so i got off the plane and found my boy waitin for me. awwwwwwww.....

UCD English... comments/additions welcome!
1. All exams should be standardised.
2. There should be frequent communication between module convenors and students either at lectures or via Black Board, especially coming towards the end of term.
3. Sample papers for each module should be made available on Black Board.
4. All modules should provide notes on Black Board.
5. Lecture transcripts should be made available on Black Board.
6. A final lecture should be given in each module outlining key elements of the module and exam format/preparation.
7. All notes made available in SU Copy Shop should be divided according to modules and not to lecturers.
8. Standardised continuous assessment (in particular formative essay requirements, contribution, attendence, etc.)
9. Reading lists should be finalised before publication, and once published should remain final.
10. Tutorials should be scheduled after the core lectures.
