- There was the roar of applause that came with every performance, Jake seemed to crave hearing. It wasn't good enough that he sang well, he had to be a dominant force in the world of opera to ensure he had a place at the top of the food chain. Last night, he sang to a standing room only crowd at the Metropolitan Opera. It was a scene from La Boheme, and as a tenor had to be able to sing with a full operatic voice while portaying a believable, dancing, flirting and sometimes dying character on stage. The best part about it, was that he was so creatively driven, the emotions were as natural to Jacob as breathing.
Jacob was born on March 15, 1987 to Nadia and Kellan Mireles. A multifaceted individual, the now 24 year old Jacob Asher Mireles has the passion and drive that it takes to be successful in the field of opera and song lyricist development. Talented and disciplined for his youth, Jacob is from Niagra Falls, New York. It was only natural for him to move from upstate New York to - Veni
- the city of Manhattan. On a full ride to the college of his dreams, Julliard, he attends the school and is active in the chorus and opera ensemble.He has performed in West Side Story, La Traviata, among many performances. Jacob began his vocal training at 9 years old, and people deemed his voice at the time to be "the voice of an angel." He was taken to ear and music training lessons by his parents for up to 5 hours a day, which included acting lessons in which to prepare for his numerous roles thereafter. Despite his great talent and fame, he chose to attend Juilliard to further solidify his grasp on operatic music in order to obtain a Master's Degree in Music.
