Conviction was named after what had happened them, people were convicted tried and sentenced. Back in 1662 witches were dragged to what was an empty field at the time and burnt alive. After they had done a curse was laid on the land by the magic of the dead witches. Anyone that stepped foot onto there graves would die a horrible and painful death. Then ten years later it happened all over again. A wife and her three children were on the run from the townspeople. Her husband had come home and caught her practising magic and reacted as he was told to, with fear and violence. He got the rest of the town to help track down his wife and children ready to kill them all. The family ran to the empty field looking for anywhere to hide. Instead of the curse killing the family the magic of the witches rose and protected the family against the anger mob. After that the family build there new home there, a home where they could be themselves. As the years went on more people moved there, people with a serect, people with something speical about them. The curse changed and lessened but the magic was never gone.

Witches:
Witches can only be born, the magic must be in there blood they can not just pick up a spell book and start doing magic. Someone can refuse there birth right and the magic can be lost to them. They can give there magic to another witch but doing so will kill them. There magic is there life force, the older they are and the more they use it the stronger they get but if they try to use to much magic before they can it will destory there body.


Psychic's, Telepath's and Telekinetic's:
All these people have magic in there bloodline but it has been forgotten. While the magic still remains they just hadn't practice in a long time that the magic changes and makes them into something else. Sometimes having the use of such a power can cause the person to feel a god like state and can sometimes cause them to see others are below them. Others who learn to control it and live with it can be just like everyone else. And other's or just to ignore it and force it out can end up going crazy.

Vampires:
Vampire have to be created and can not be born. When someone is turned into a vampire they are just as they were when they were alive, they love and hate all the same things. When turning someones they must feed them there blood and then kill them, they then wake up to a pain so intense it can sometimes kill them and leave them that way. The vampire blood going through them is killing everything human in them but once it is done the pain fades. Older vampires can go into the sunlight but only for a short amount of time, if they stay in the sunlight for to long they will become weak and die. The older they live the stronger they become. They are stronger, faster, have great hearing and reflexes and are immortal. They can compel people. Fire or a stake through the heart will kill them. They can however be weakened or bound by Silver.

Werewolves:
Werewolves can be either born or created. A werewolf that is born is stronger. They can chnage whenever they like but they have no choice during the full moon. Even when human they live mainly on there animal instincts taking what they want when they want it. When they become obsessed with someone they will stalk them even during the full moons and will become dangerous to everyone around them. A werewolf created must be bitten and the bite must pierce the skin. A werewolf created can only turn during the full moon but that is only if they make it throught he change the change is painful and can last to up to a month to be over. They are stronger quicker and immortal.

Shape shifter's
Shape shifter's can only be born and not created. A bite from a shape shifter won't do anything no matter how deep. Shape shifter's are able to take the shape of any animal they want but they normally have a go to animal. To be able to change into people they must first kill a person with there bare
