The decision at hand, two seconds left
Too late, decide now, the times well kept
Career I say, to begin my life,
Later I shall start the search for a wife,
Later the world I shall go and see,
For now its time to start with me.

Now I have chosen ‘career’ to focus on,
What shall I do, to carry on,
With the path chosen, lay in front of me,
Acting I think, will I go and see.
NIDA sounds good, but you have to be 18,
So a job in the industry for the time being.

Research, jobs, theatre companies,
There’s an audition soon, it looks real good,
Putting together something to show,
The judging begins, and I ought to know,
All the rehearsing, refining, and technique
Was it enough to prevent my defeat?

And so the waiting and pacing begins,
Reminiscing if I’ve done enough to get in,
And suddenly doubts flood into my mind,
I’ve surely failed; there’s been no reply...

And so on with the journey to a successful career,
More research and inquests, and mates begin to leer,
But suddenly I’m frozen, I’m horror struck,
And no, I’m not about to be hit by a truck.

They’ve finally replied, from my first audition,
They really liked my abstract rendition.
They liked me, they liked me, and I jump up with glee,
Its great news, great news and I drop to my knees.
They’re offering me the fabulous touring show position,
No need to look for any more auditions.

Where do I sign? When do I start?
Questions, questions, I begin to laugh.
How could I have ever doubted,
Cried, gave up and even shouted.
I know I knew from the very start,
Something to do with ‘being smart’
I’m not just an ordinary good old Bob.
I had it in me, to achieve that job.

Life is about one choice at a time,
Not your choice, no its mine.
No such thing as “x-ray vision”
To see the consequences of the decision,
Choosing carefully the path to take,
The decision can be hard to make.
I made my decision, and it was fun,
So watch out everyone, here I come!

To be continued… (possibly) who knows what the future will bring

One journey ends, and the other begins,
a new life, a new beginning, the end, the start, the rest of my life.
the days of childhood, gone so fast i didnt see it coming,
the days of Adulthood, just beginning.

Where do i want to go? what do i want to do?
Faced with a million possibilities.
Many blocked, cos a so-called "disability"
I am the same as others,
yet so very different,
I am refined, yet so very free.

What one does with the rest of his life?
Shall he start a search for the perfect wife?
Travel the world, see all to be seen?
Chase a career, in one which he's keen?

Its time to make an unavoidable decision,
one that will determine, without percision,
have effect on the rest of my life to come,
once its made, too late, its already done.

So what shall i do? please help me god!

Just think, just pray, the answer will come.
