Ryt peeps, gonna write a little review of the bands I saw this year at T in the Park. Let's just say, having read the papers since I gor home, I disagree with a couple of reviews I've seen, but you will see where in a bit.

Friday

James Morrison - Was decent enough, of what I heard, but whoever set the levels had the bass turned up WAY too much.

The Mars Volta - Caught a little of them, sounded quite good.

Idlewild - Tremendous, knew they would be good but didn't expect them to be as good. The (disappointingly) sparce crowd all singing American English sent shivers up the back of my neck. Then got in the pit for "Modern Way of Letting Go", so much fun.

Camera Obscura - Were pretty good. Hadn't heard of them before I saw them, but I didn't want to watch Franz Ferdinand, so went and watched them.

Go:Audio - As good as they were when I went to see them last November, still a little too pre programmed tho.

Kings of Leon - Started off a little slow, as sson as "Molly's Chambers" kicked in, was brilliant. Sout out to Fiona n Louise, who I ran into in the crowd.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Saw a little of them on the way back to the campsite, and they weren't good.

Red Bull Lock In/Boom Bus - Quick mention to both of these, great fun

Saturday

Lady Gaga - AWFUL. She was absolutely dreadful, think I listened for about 2 minutes then decided "Fuck this for a game of soldiers", and went to see...

You Me at Six - Who were amazing, even better in the festival setting than suporting Fall Out Boy, although that may be the fact there weren't little FOB fans running about. Loads of pits, loads of singing along, awesome.

Hip Parade - Heard while heading to see Katy Perry, sounded good, check them out.

Katy Perry - Much better than I expected, very talented singer, and a great show-woman.

The Specials - Caught the last bit of their set, decent, was just happy to see them.

Ting Tings - Shambles. Not great at all, only watched for 10 minutes before going to see...

Razorlight - Who were pretty good as well. Again, a whole crowd singing "America" brings chills.

Janes Addiction - Only saw them from a distance, but they were sounding as good as ever, Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro are born showmen.

The Killers - Surprised they opened with "Human". Could only put up with them for 5 songs, decent, but not spectacular.

Manic Street Preachers - Stuck my head in for 5 minute (was all I had time for unfortunately), wish I could have stayed for the whole set.

Nine Inch Nails - I'm kinda glad they're giving touring up, because this wasn't the greatest outing from Trent n co.

Sunday

Squeeze - Could only hear them from a distance, because we were taking our tent and stuff to the car, but they sounded very good.

The Twilight Sad - Sounded decent enough.

Seasick Steve - Didn't expect to like him, but he was very good indeed, just needs a few more songs .

The Script - One of the more unexpected highlights for me, they were probably my favourite band to play the main stage.

Bloc Party - Again, very good, wish I could have seen their whole set, at the same time...

The Streets - were playing, and were fucking great. Gotta love a reason for throwing glowsticks at people. The Slam tent was fucking high as a kite as well.

Lily Allen - Dreadful. Up until she got booed for smoking, she was off key for every song. Her backing band were very good, their version of Day n Nite being especially good.

Pendulum - Words cannot describe how good they were. I've heard them for a few years, and had, in my mind compared them to an early Prodigy, but that thought was magnified to the nth degree by seeing them live. Fucking awesome, great cover of "I'm Not Alone" by Calvin Harris. The keyboardist/keytarist looks like someone else, I can't think who though.

All in all, a great weekend, apart from being burnt to a crisp

Alright, here's wat ya gotta do... leave one drunk memory that you and I had together. And there's a lot of you out there on my list that have had drunken times with me. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember. Next, re-post this bulletin and see how many people leave a memory about you.
