What goes on here?????
We are here to give opportunities to young people. This is a place where you can come and hang out, play pool, meet friends etc.
We want to hear from young people in West Cork. We want to hear from YOU!! Tell us what you want!!!
There are lots of ways to get your ideas to us. If you'd like to get in touch just leave us a comment

- Computers are CHEAP at The Attic..... Members pay 50c per hour and non members pay €1 per hour! Come in and use them for projects, gaming, bebo...
- Membership Renewal
- Many people need to renew their membership! Please renew your membership or join as a new member as it means we can give you cheaper entry to gigs, cheaper food, drinks and computer access!
Please check list when signing to check if your membership needs renewing!! - Staff
- Candy is the new EVS volunteer, she will be here in Bantry until June 2009! Candy is Belgian and speaks fluent French. If you need a hand with French just call in!
Audrey is also new to the cafe, Audrey is an artist and is willing to work with young people on various projects! - Happiest When

new youth initiative: foreigner trip about drama/arts/music :O
Basic idea: develop a project together with the ideas and the wish of each one who want take part in the project.
The proposition: is about Arts, Drama or Music but other themes could be proposed, we will decide together. And add a dimension international to the activities by going in another country of Europe or host a foreign group. I proposed Belgium (because I know well this country, is my, and because the French is a bit familiar for Irish ) but again we will decide together.
When: at this end of June after the end of the school’s time.
Cost: This trip will be part funded. The cost won’t be an obstacle for anybody.

St. Patrick's Day Parade Workshop
The first session of the parade workshop involved brainstorming around the topic of addiction. The group worked on scribble drawings and the enactment of addictions.
The workshops are happening on Saturday 29th November, 6th and 13th December from 1p.m-4p.m.
Come early and ensure your ideas are taken on board!

French Fortnight
The Attic will hold a French Fortnight in the cafe from August 12th-26th. There will be information on French Living, traditional games etc. There will be several opportunities to sample French cuisine over the fortnight or to practise your language skills before returning to school!!!
There will be a table quiz on Friday 22nd August at 9p.m in The Attic. The questions will be based on France and entry is free. For more information please ask the staff at The Attic or leave us a message!!
