Me, Myself & I .. <3
Well, to start off. For all you people who don't know, my name is Marie Murray but Ria for short & my life began on the 25th April 1992 which makes me 17! Even though I really don't look it, I look more like a 12 year old! Haha. I was born in Guys Hospital, and brought up in Bermondsey until we moved to Eltham & have done for 10 years now.
I guess I can say I am a loyal, bubbly, friendly & caring person. I am quite shy when I first meet someone new as I don't know how to act in front of them, but once I am used to them I am just myself. When I am out with my girls, I am very hyper & random, I am very loud and I have completely no shame! As most my girls can vouch for! But I love it when I'm like that, because we're just having a laugh really. Most of the time, I ignore things like arguments because I really hate confrontation and I don't like it when things get out of hand, so I tend to let it go over my head. But when I strongly believe in something or I know for a fact I am right about something then I won't let it go, I know how to stand up for myself! But if I am wrong about anything, I will hold my hands up to it.
I am also a very stubborn & determined person, I really don't like waiting for things, if I want to do something or need something to be done, then I will have to go and do it myself because most of the time that is the only way you get things you want done. The only person you can ever rely on is yourself.
If I don't like the way something is, then I will keep working on it til' it is exactly the way I want it. I like to be very organized & planned because I like to know what I'm doing because I hate feeling confused. I get confused very easily! Haha, I can be really dopey sometimes, which my mates & family take the piss but I don't care! I like it! I am also very desisive, for instance when a problem arises & I don't know what to do, I will ask loads of peoples' opinions and talk about it over & over again but then always near enough do what I think anyway! & When it comes to other peoples' problems, as an outsider, I most of the time know what advise to give and to help them, but my own? No, I have no idea what to do.
I am quite a self-consious person, I always think I am never good enough. I don't think I am attractive, I have been complimented on my looks, but me being me, will think that they just say it to make me happy. I wear makeup every day & I dye my hair just to make me feel a bit better about myself.
My life has never been easy, but I guess that's just me, nothing is ever simple or straight forward! I have been through alot in my life. I was born with a life-threatening lung condition called Cystic Fibrosis & it is one of the most cruelest illness' there is going. It don't sound that bad because in most cases all it is, is chronic chest infections but it is so much more to that, you have to live with taking medication all day every day. It affected me so badly that I was so close to death & it is the most worst feeling you could ever imagine. Knowing you haven't got long left. The worst thing of all was the fact I was only 16 years old & I had my whole life to live for & there was so many things I wanted to do. But I had to forget all about that & concentrate on the time I did have left. Anyway in August 2008 I had a double lung transplant & since then I have had a few blips and stuff but I don't believe I am a brave person at all, you live with what you have to. The only thing really I can say, is don't let any illness beat you.
I have really good friends & most of them have CF. One of my best friends who also has CF; is Jasmine, I have known her literally my whole life, I can tell that girl anything, we have had so many memories together, I could write an actual book about them! We have so many laughs & I am sure there are plenty more to come. When me & Jasmine are together, people must think we are actually retarded or something haha because we are just so hyper.
