Was this really a problem?!
As most people know I work in the Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, nothing unusual in that really, it's a big place, lots of people work there. As everybody also knows, it is "Sale" season in all the retailers around the country. This means every shop is emblazoned with "Sale Now on", "50% Off Everything" and "Massive Savings blah blah blah!" signs. However, one of the shop's sale signage completely blew my mind. I read it, I walked past. I stopped, I went back and I read it again.I stood, dumbfounded. It said....

The shop is called Motion Picture in case there is any confusion, and it is a sort of standard, cheap-ish girl's clothes shop. I wanted to take a picture of the sign but alas, I had no camera. If I think of it I might bring one in to work tomorrow and see if I can get a picture on the sly. There is a good chance though that they've had to take their signs down as I can't imagine the centre management being too impressed by it.
You really have to ask the question though, was Robert Mugabe frequenting the shop really a problem?Or ever going to be one?I would have thought the chances of him being in Ireland were slim enough, Dublin unlikely, Stehpen's Green Shopping Centre very doubtful and Motion Picture probably zero. I suppose it's best not to take any chances though, can you imagine the awkwardness if he did ever come to be in their shop; " I'm sorry Mr Mugabe but you're actually not welcome in here......."

Weird Spam
In the spirit of barry's blog I thought I post up an excert from a random bit of spam which I received today.
Kim and I didn't care for our food and everything took forever. That
wasn't the point. Lots of people are always stopping and taking pictures
of the train of trucks. Then we get the budget approved by the board of
directors and then ratified by the association by way of a vote. They
wanted to check out the new TGI Friday's.
I was going to get out and talk to them but the bikers started to get
antsy and made a run for it.
Herb and I were arguing over which path to take.
Well, I was far from a big troublemaker but we had our share of fun. She
triple checked and told me that I changed my address over at another
office.
