I'm back from sunny Gold Coast and was I impressed with the place, firstly it was extremely clean and neat compared to messy dirty Christchurch and secondly it was an extremely safe place to walk around at all hours of the day and night with no fear of being mugged and the likes that you feel here back in Christchurch.

And also the shows I went to were wonderful and exciting, went to Draculas and that was a brilliant dinner and show and the Outback Spectacular which was extremely educational, entertaining and the food was great.
I truly believe that Christchurch can do these sorts of shows and make good money from them if they are advertised the right way. Here in Christchurch and the rest of New Zealand should think beyond the Eco Tourism and think about other ways of keeping and attracting tourist here longer.

I'm sick of the we cannot do that attitude in this country especially in Christchurch.

A show about our farming culture could be based out in Lincoln and we could've had a great horror restaurant made with the old building that was just pulled down at the old Sunnyside Mental Hospital.

And another thing I thought that was a great idea on the Gold Coast, is the Surf Lifesaving Clubs have restaurants operating at the club houses, opened first thing for Breakfast right through to the small hours, the Palm Beach one advertised live Jazz each Friday night too. I reckon the clubs here in NZ should do the same, food sales should make a 75% profit if the place is good and this profit can go into improving the equipment for the individual clubs
