Now 99% of u wont even where maynooth is, but its a place and we hav a football team,
las sunday we had tough match against east meath united or sumtihn like that, now we had travel out fukn miles out there to find out there is no fukn ref, but we did a deal with their manager and our em guy and we reffed a half each
well first half starts off, i do my lazy usual nutihn up front, and suddenly we're 2-0 down and its half tym, we were all worried but i jus sed stall the ball a bit boys, we got this match!

match kicks off again the ball goes to the LB darragh .m thn passes thru ball down to mcbride who puts in a lufly cross only to b deflected, me meanwhile am lazyin round the box, notice the deflection quicker than them meath boys defenders and hatch onto this looping cross, and bravely stuck my head onto the end of the ball to knock past the kepper, the new peter schmeichel he was known as! the ball flies into the corner and i jus cooly wlk away knowin i'm brilliant and a total legend at the game,
i thn remeber that the score is 2-1 to thm so i go can't b havin this and let our boys pass it round, cum to joe .d and he does a few tackles jus on the corner of the box and ball comes to me, to defenders bout to buckle me, i jus touch into space and let one rip from all of 25yrds it must be said, flies straight into the top corner b4 the keeper hadeven dived

thn i decided enuf dun, and let the rest of the lads get on with the match, score mite hav finsihed 3-3 or sumthin, sure i did care, i was established a legend,


now castleknock senior team ,made the squad without ven trien, but that wudn hav been hard, first match we played was against a dunshauqlin senior team (mostly u-16's) and we battled hard to the end, but lost unluckily 4-2, my new postion as a rite bak bcoz, i did want to score too many goals this season so i dropped into defence and made a name for myself there!
nxt match we played at the "home of football" oriel park or sumtihn, we played shit and lost 8- fukn 0 i mean they were gud and all but even wth me playin the ol defence we let 8 past us, rather embarassin!

until nxt week when we played out in tallaght us turnin up like a bucnh of ponces with our blazers! well we started this matchb off even betr but we let in 2 early goals and didn come bak even tho our lil star, bradburry sum say the new maradonna? scored a class goal it must be said, well thats what john curran sed to me neway! after that i decided to let thm boyos bak in the match with a lil pass bak to the keeper but there fuk jan koller striker came out of nowhere and intercepted what was a great pass and finshed off the chance
even at half tym the team cudn b lifted 5-1 down we were and shouts of encouragement form our roy keane himslef ross "takes no prisoners" langhan cudn lift our spirits we went on to lose 9-1 to a what must b sed a spectacle of a football match!

I don't know what to say really.
Three minutes

you only learn that when you start losing stuff.
You find out that life is just a game of inches.
So is football.
Because in either game

the margin for error is so small.
I mean
one half step too late or to early
you don't quite make it.
One half second too slow or too fast
and you don't quite catch it.
The inches we need are everywhere around us.
They are in ever break of the game
every minute, every second.

On this team, we fight for that inch
On this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us
to pieces for that inch.
We CLAW with our finger nails for that inch.
Cause we know
when we add up all those inches
that's going to make the fucking difference
between WINNING and LOSING
between LIVING and DYING.

I'll tell you this
in any fight
it is the guy who is willing to die
who is going to win that inch.
And I know
if I am going to have any life anymore
it is because, I am still willing to fight, and die for that inch
because that is what LIVING is.
The six inches in front of your face.

Now I can't make you do it.
You gotta look at the guy next to you.
Look into his eyes.
Now I think you are going to see a guy who will go that inch with you.
You are going to see a guy
who will sacrifice himself for this team
because he knows when it comes down to it,
