my birth story.
i was 17 when i fell pregnant. i did a pregnancy test twice and it came up negative twice so i didnt think i was pregnant. i then went to the doctors and did another one there because i was not getting my period. it came up positive from there i went to do an ultrasound on the 4th of feb 2009 i seen my baby for the first time and it was amazing. me and my partner could not stop smiling. i was 10 weeks and 5 days along. i had another ultrasound at 12 weeks and 5 days to make sure everything was good. i loved going to the doctors and midwives to hear the heartbeat. i started getting my bump at around 4 months and also got bad morning sickness around 3am every morning for about 3 months. i was happy when it was over lol. i got my scan at 19 weeks to find out the sex and they said it was a little boy. i was sooooooo happy i called my partner and told himcause he couldnt be there as he was working and he was over the moon. the last couple of months went so fast i loved feeling him move around and kicking it was just amazing knowing i had such a precious thing inside waiting to come out.
on the 8th of august 2009 my water broke it was 3 weeks before his due date28-08-09. so i freaked out. it all happened so fast my water broke, i had the show and my contractions were instantly 5 mins apart. i sat in a warm bath at home for a few hours and called the hospital to say i would be coming in early. i then went to the hospital at around 9pm and met both my family and my partners family there. everyone was so excited. i was taken to the birthing suit and checked over. they said it could take up to 24 hours till i have him. so i was taken to another room and everyone but my partner was told to leave. i asked my dad to get me maccas and got as fair as an apple pie when my contractions got bad. everyone was waiting outside the hospital still and i was taken back to the birthing suit. they asked if i wanted pain releif and i said no. the nurse told me to go to the bathroom so i did all of a sudden i needed to push i couldnt help it. the nurse helped me back to the bed and looked to see if i was in a labour. i pushed for 16 mins and he was out. my boyfriend was so supportive and held my hand the whole time and cut the umbellical cord.
Cyrus William Eric Scott was born 09-08-09 at 00:58am on his dads birthday. he was 6lbs 4oz and 50cm long. his dad said it was the best birthday present EVER!
