- Underground is about to kick off into it's forth year!! A show run by youth for youth showcasing their talent including fashion design, entertainment, set design, sound and lighting, hair and makeup and SO much more! This years show is going to be even bigger and better than ever!
Last years show was spectacular, involving over 200 Wanganui youth both on stage and behind the scenes. It was a magical Winter Wonderland theme that mesmerized the crowd with over 120 designers, models and entertainers.
With categories such as Glamour, Street 4 Youth, Under $25, Canteen and Zonta Excellence the quality of the designs were incredible and they have really risen the bar for this years competition.
Entries are opening soon for the Underground Designer competition and this year we are extending out to the Wanganui / Manawatu region and are really looking forward to seeing what comes in.

Underground is now entering its fourth year as a fashion show and we have just become a charitable trust and so we can begin to incorporate other ideas into the year as well as the ever popular fashion show.
The Website, Facebook, Twitter and this Bebo are being constantly updated with news and posts about upcoming events to do with the show.
Events like deadlines for entries, garments and the modelling auditions will be posted a while in advance so pen those into you diaries!
At underground we stand for youth working to put-on events for other youth.
At the fashion show, all make up, hair; modelling and designers are under 24, keeping to the youth label and what we stand for.
We would be so grateful if you got involved. Visit the website and sign up now!
We have needs for so many different types of talents, performers, dancers, models, designers, make up and hair artists, runners for the night to help the staff and the choreographer make the show run smoothly all those who want to be involved in the show!
