Presented by 21 year old Eimear Varian Barry , The Saturday Show (as you can tell,a lot of thought was put into the name) runs from 12-6 on ,yes, you’ve guessed it Saturdays!

6 hours of music&madness with regular celebrity interviews,
plenty of giveaways and the best music!
With having the likes of Tom Baxter in Studio for a performance& a cup of tea, a chat with Roisin Murphy,Brian Dowling, having FRED in studio and having caught up with one of the set designers of the Sex and the City movie from the premiere in New York,
these are just a few examples of how The Saturday Show always keeps you entertained throughout your Saturday!

The show regularly broadcasts Live from various locations throughout Cork city and county so keep an eye out for the madness to hit your area!

    • Bit about the Presenter...

      Usually heard before she’s seen ,21 year old Eimear Varian Barry is one of the youngest members of the RedFM troop. After always dreaming of pursuing a career in the media and having studied Film-Making and Media Production here in Cork, she entered the doors of RedFM for 3 days work experience. After a few days of getting a taste of the general madness,she simply refused to leave and set up camp in the Cork Talks Back department. A few weeks later Eimear was working a variety of roles in the station including Red Patrolling, taking on the role of one of the Producers of the show and assisting the Production Manager in the day to day Production of the station gaining immediate invaluable experience of the radio industry. Then in January 2007,Eimear became the head Producer of Cork Talks Back with Victor Barry which has since grown from strength to strength.

      Always up the craic, even if its at her own expense, Eimear burst onto the airwaves at the age of 20 ,presenting The Saturday Show – a 6 hour marathon of music and talk. When not on air and as always proud of her Kerry blood- you’ll probably find her looking for a trad session for any excuse to lash out her fiddle, harassing Cork with her camera(her prize possession) watching Fr Ted (bit of an unhealthy obsession here)or planning her next holiday!

      Also having an avid passion for fashion and photography, Eimear is Event Co-Ordinator and Presenter for Lockdown Model Agency and is involved in the organisation of Cork Fashion Week.

      The first 400 people in the queue for Afters tickets will get a coveted “Befores” ticket. This is a new innovation from the Commerce Society. The ticket allows the holder to gain entry to the hotel from 8:30pm where you will be treated to a Pink Champagne reception, free finger food buffet and early entertainment from Pat Fitz. And of course you get into the hotel two hours before the Afters, for the price of an Afters ticket!! Queue early to avoid disappointment!

      All in aid of Breast cancer research:)
