The Alternative Featured List Needs You!
Okay I'm trying to get this page whirring again - its fallen a bit flat hasn't it?
So what I need you guys to do is give me some suggestions of what you want to see on this page...
I want to make it more interactive...and expand our member list too...
So let me know what you think... I do have some suggestions...
[♥] A book poll... a couple of sites seem to have them, and they're usually quite interesting if you've got some healthy competition and lots of reader/members...
[♥] A book club - the idea is this is that every week or so, a book is chosen and everyone goes to that page, reads it and reviews it for the author. Its more about giving good constructive feedback to the author than the book poll.
Anyway, I need lots of input and feedback from you guys...
Well I'm off to promote this group...

Some Tips
What in your opinion is the best way to make your author profile, interesting an exciting? Well, it helps to have some decent writing on there, but first you want to entice your potential reader in.
+++Try finding a relevant and eye-catching picture for the profile. If you can't find one, make it yourself! I made my Scorch book cover in Photoshop, using bits of pictures I found on the internet.
+++Think of an interesting title. Even if you don't intend to always keep it for your book, something like "Enter Destiny" or "The Magical Sword of Bob" is always going to attract more interest than "A Fantasy Story" or "No Title Yet". You can always think of a proper title later, so for now, go with a temporary one (working title).
+++Find a nice background for your profile. Those white and orange default ones are hell ugly! So search the skins pages for something that reflects the mood you want in your book. Or make your own, if you have the patience.
+++Make the info at the top of the profile interesting and relevant. First, maybe give an tiny extract from the book, e.g. quote a line you think is particularly interesting. Then give a brief synopsis, but never NEVER give too much away! Then if you want, give a little info about your inspiration, how long you've been writing it etc.
+++Make sure the writing is presentable. If you type it in something like Micros. Word first, the auto Spellcheck should take out the worst of any errors. The formatting on the writing when you actually put it on Bebo kinda sucks, but we can't do much about that.
+++If you want any help with editing etc, leave a comment here and I'll try and find somebody to help you out. Writers of the World Unite!!

"I'm not boasting or anything." the big guy boasted, "But I'm a big guy.". He reeked of alcohol, exuding form every pore in his rank body. His pungent breath was nothing short of sickening. Standing far too close for my liking, he invaded my personal space, blasting me with his drip-tray-breath philosophy.
I had been listening to this bullshit for a full half hour now, and all I knew about this supercillious fucker thus far, that he was an asshole.
He continued his plethora of violent anecdotes. A mindless inventory of how many people he had, 'knocked out', who he had injured and how.
Really, I could tell that this idiot, flippant though he appeared, was fishing for my acceptance, my envy and possibly even my friendship. He would never have it. -

Hello people. I have been writing for some years no. I have thirty short stories and five novels on the go. My head is bursting is sporadic fashion. I am still chipping away on a system I use but it still insurfficient. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

It's pretty freaking good, 4.5 star average rating
50+ reviews.
Which means pretty much everyone that reads it gives it 5 stars.
The rest give it 4. Because they're dirty hoes and don't know better.
It's a vampire book, but not something stupid like most of the vamp books on bebo. It's actually intellectually entertaining. Which is good, I think.
Just check it out for me, hm? I need some more feedback (I say this after getting more feedback than most people on bebo... I'm selfish) before I get it published.
