  • Summer Sonshine!

    Hi Cross Bearers!

Summer is coming to a quick close (hey-it never actually arrived here in the UK!!! Cold rain was our constant companion!) but we thought we would touch base with you to tell you what God did this summer to brighten up the dreariness here in London! Let the Son SHINE!!!!

    1) Join us in thanking God for all of the volunteers from Alabama (the Mount Family) Texas,Illinois and California that came through to minister in the summer English workshops and Holiday Kid's Camp! We had tons of kids and between twenty and twenty four adult students each day who were touched by the Love of Jesus! One woman from Japan commented, "I never believed in anything but after meeting so many kind Christians, I am beginning to change my mind!" K. continued to ask questions over the weeks about what we believe! Please pray for her as she seeks the Truth!!

    2) Marsha, our sister from the Middle East, was able to share the Good News with one of the young men and several of the ladies at the English workshops. One boy, "Mo", came to faith during an after class-picnic! Marsha continues to minister to Mo and his family-just last week she spent the night in their home and was able to share more of God's love with them. Please pray for Mo in his new walk of Faith. Lift up Mo's mother, grandmother, aunt and uncle; ask that they would dream about Jesus and trust in Him, especially during their holy time of Ramadan. They are fasting every day and asking God to speak to them!! We know that He can and will reveal Himself to them!!

    3) We were able to spend a lot of quality time with our Friday night Middle Eastern group. We had picnics at Windsor, meals in each other's homes and day's out in our nearby park. Pray that we would continue to listen to the Holy Spirit and that we would always be ready to give answers for the reason of our Hope!

    4) Our new sister A. is growing each day in her faith-baby steps but still, she is growing. Please continue to lift her up-she has so many "trust issues" because she had such a bad relationship with  the boyfriend that she finally broke up with late last year. She also was approached by a cult group recently and they asked her a lot of questions that she didn't know the answers to, leaving her very confused. She still hasn't told her family about her decision to trust Christ. Pray that she will fervently search the Word and talk to Him in prayer. Lift us up as we hang out and live our lives in front of her.

    5) We have another volunteer team coming in October to help at the Southall and St. Paul's English classes. They will also be doing a few little, light improvement projects at the Southall church and possibly (please pray about this!) help us canvas a housing project nearby to launch a new English class there. Pray for the volunteers as they prepare and as they minister among these precious people!

All of the Cross Kids are back in school and all are tackling homework and projects (even Zoe!). We were able to get away to Turkey for a week at the end of August/beginning of September to catch some longed for "rays" and "beachtime"! The weather was beautiful and we were able to spend some quality time with our kids and the Pelley family on our joint adventure together!

Many of you know that we are preparing for our stateside assignment starting in the early Spring next year. Pray for us as we continue to "work in the field" here and as we get ready to come and visit the US, sharing the stories that God has given us. We have lots to do while still maintaining our busy schedules! We will arrive in the USA the first part of March 2008 and plan on returning to the field one year later. Most of our time will be spent throughout the South East with stops in MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, and FL. We hope to see many of you while we are "home."

Thanks for shining the Light! Your prayers are like beams of light travelling across the dark ocean!! We love you so much!! Keep lifting!!!

    In Him,
    Ti

  • Welcome to our new website!!

    Dear Cross Bearers,

Welcome to our new website! We are so glad you stopped by to visit us! With the help and encouragment of Zachary, we decided to create a place where people can check out what the Crosses are up to in London! We are rather new at this and are working out all of the kinks so be patient and check back often for updates, new photo slide shows, and fun stuff!

Remember to sign our guestbook to let us know you stopped by!!

Love, Tim and Jody and kids

Ok, so this is a little sophisticated for me. I'll try to muddle through, but if you think I'm giving you a picture, think again. We're working on flights this week. We'll let you know what we decide on. Just got back from camp. Amazing time. God is at work. Its great to be there to see it.
    Love you guys,
    Flossie
