- The full title of the book is "The Design of a Learning System to Address Issues of Educational Exclusion Among Travellers and Other Groups".
The author of book has worked on a variety of projects for Local Education Authorities in the East Midlands, as well as with Durham University on the national collection of the P-Scales data. He project managed the implementation of a system to allow the analysis of data from all special educational needs groups to afford SEN children the same rights as mainstream children in terms of monitoring their continued progression towards life goals without fear of stereotyping and whilst still respecting their individual needs.
He draws upon this experience and on information gleamed whilst studying for a Master of Education degree in e-Learning from The University of Sheffield to produce a book which looks at how technology may address the barriers to educational inclusion encountered by Traveller and Gypsy families.

Book published ... done ...
Well, I finally published the book that I wrote nearly two years ago whilst studying for a Master of Education in e-Learning degree at The University of Sheffield. At the same time, I was also working for Derbyshire County Council's Education Department (now rebranded Children and Younger Adults).
The book comes off the back of research I undertook into the specific needs and requirements of the Traveller and Gypsy communities and their exclusion from education and society. Following in the footsteps of George Lucas, there may well be a pre-cursor to this book coming along later - though I may choose to combine the two into a single publication.
I now run my own business and don't get the time to research the topic as I previously have. However, I hope to return to the topic in the coming months and to take forward some of the ideas I discuss in the book.
