Tagline
100 Years of Musical Fabulosity!
Me, Myself, and I
We are delighted to announce that we will be performing the Mel Brooks, multi Tony Award winning musical, The Producers, in March 2010. Check back for more information!
Featuring the songs:
"Springtime For Hitler", "The King of Broadway", and the outrageous "Keep It Gay"!
PRODUCTION TEAM
Director: Alasdair Hawthorn;
Musical Director: Andrew Salmond;
Choreographer: Margaret Carr
History
The society was founded in 1908 and was one of two groups in Paisley performing musicals at that time, the other being Paisley Opera Club. Until the mid 1960s, the productions were mainly Gilbert and Sullivan, followed by a run of large scale shows in the style of French and Viennese operetta.

By the early 1980s, the club had moved on to the "American" musical and has continued to present modern theatrical classics like Guys And Dolls, Fiddler On The Roof, My Fair Lady, and Kiss Me Kate.

    Hi Amy,
    Audition details haven't been announced yet. Most likely there will be Club Auditions in August when you will be required to sing a song of your choice and learn a simple dance. Then we'll have a couple of Pre-Audition Rehearsals before the Principal Auditions in late September.
    Probably best for you to contact the Club Secretary, Liz McPherson, on 0141 580 9963 and she'll be able to keep you informed.
    Good luck!
