This is the future. The future looks bleak.

Although the world is united as one nation under the Consortium, half of its citizens have disappeared without an explanation. Music, books, art and free speech have all been prohibited under punishment of death. The nation is split into the stupid and the smart. Diet, hobbies and routines are all monitered by the Consortium's secret police; the entire world is ruled by one giant iron fist.

But through this, an underground rebellion of rockers is rising. They want their sounds to be heard again, they want to be able to listen to their i-pods without fear of being 're-educated', they want a paradise of music.

Amos Harvey lee is one of them, and he has to convince adrenalin-junkie Raphael that he's one too...

..and that he can lead the underground rebellion for free music.

    • NO! NOT AGAIN!

      Um...I sorta...restarted. And stuff.

      But it's okay! I'm keeping most of what's here, just revising it. The opening is going to change, you might wanna read it. I'll tell you the numbers of new chapters. Stuff is in there that is vital...and...stuff.

      Blame NaNoWriMo. I just didn't like the opening. So...Yeah.

      I'm not going to update what I write for NaNo until the end of the month, then there will be weekly updates. Not that anyone cares...But there they'll be.

      I don't know if the novel will be finished in 50, 000 words, I think it probably will be though. I should have 25, 000 words by now.

      I have only 12, 000. That's not good. I'm going to go write my socks off now, because I have scared myself. Have fun, and I should be back with new yummy stuff for you later on.

      Don't expect it to be good though. The stuff I'm writing is pure twoddle, with about a tenth of the thought put into it that I'd put into a regular chapter. So, yeah, that'smy excuse.

    • Well Well, A Whole Month Eh?

      So, up and coming is NaNoWriMo, AKA national novel writing month.

      It starts in November and I've signed up. Just guess the lucky novel I'm going to be working on...!
      (Oh dear, for those of you who couldn't, it's THIS ONE)

      SO prepare for the novel to actually be updated. I know, I know! What? The sky is falling? Pigs can fly? Lui is UPDATING? It's a strange world, but that's life.

      So, hopefully I'll hear from you soon, and I'll try to contact the fans and let you know about updates. Thanks for reading, you're a fantastic person for giving up your time.

      haven't had the chance 2 read this yet, but will drop u a review when i do - ur description of the book realli pulled me in - i dont normally read books from the fiction category on bebo, i prefer romance, but the description had me hooked lol.

      To Kisa: Thank you very much! I've recently checked through to find mistakes and add things here and there, but haven't posted it. Your comment about grammar etc gave me a kick up the behind. ^^

      To Lauren: Thank you too! Your comment was really very helpful. (I read through and OMG you're right. Hair this, hair that..Anyone would think my characters were all giant walking furrballs! lol)
      And I will read it aloud to yourself. in a writing book I had given to me it says exactly the same thing; good advice you're giving. ^^

      As a humble fan, I order you to write more. ^^
      The characters are stark and believable, but at the same time every one of them contrasts the others very well: you've got an amazing eye for character development, and I applaud you for it. There are a few grammar mistakes here and there and some sentences could have been written better, but the overall story has an amazing amount of potential. I can't wait to see what you do with the plot, and look forward to seeing more. Kudos.
