- INERTIA AVENUE began its journey as a solo home studio project by founding member and principal writer Hammy. It basically strove to write ear-catching tunes that were accessible but not token, within the context of a hard rock sound. It fused many influences from the production values of producers like Devin Townsend, the pop sensibilities of mainstream pop/rock to the the clinical delivery of the progressive metal genre.
Upon completion of the first batch of songs that would evolve into the Inertia Avenue setlist, Hammy hooked up with long-time friend Gary Millar on drums and former Battalion Of Flies bandmate Tony Noble on bass.
