About Me

Me, Myself, and I
Like many other authors, I read a book I didn’t like. Despite occasional digs from my children, I decided I could write a romance.
“Heartsong” is my 13th book, available in either digital or trade paperback from Champagne Books. See my web page for excerpts, reviews, and ordering information.

I'm a retired teacher, (no I'm not an English teacher - although quite a few romance authors are) but I have taught fiction writing and spoken at conferences throughout the country.

My husband, an engineer, and I moved south to the land of hurricanes and sunshine to get away from the cold and the snow. When I'm not watching the weather, I write, trying to create believeable heros and heroines, then finding ways to make their lives miserable.

I'm currently working on a sequel to Heartsong and another American historical will I await release of my 14th book, "A Teasure for Sara".
Music
I grew up with classical music, so the really old stuff is for me. I do like "dixieland" and "ragtime".
Films
I don't watch a lot of TV or movies. I do like Law & Order, and if I have to watch a movie it will probably be a musical
Sports
Most of my youth was spent in Indiana, so I'm defintiely a "Colts" Football fame.
Scared Of
I HATE snakes. I'd prefer not to experience any more earthquakes, tornados, and I sure wouldn't want to be close to an erupting volcano!
Happiest When
Writing. Definitely writing
