- Me, Myself, and I
- Hello, I am the webmaster of Dr Blood's Video Vault - the ultimate guide to the best horror films ever made! So... obviously, I'm on here mainly to promote my website.
If you like horror films, or just want to read one of the best (and sometimes funniest!) movie review sites on the internet, join me there at www.drbloodsvideovault.com!
In October 2006, my site was featured by CosmoGIRL in their "cool websites" section. Fame at last! Thanks CosmoGIRL!
"In light of the horror season, we thought Dr Blood's Video Vault was another exciting time killer (hehe). This site is designed to pack you full of horror knowledge, including how to survive scary situations based on films. It offers film reviews, interviews and downloads, with a quiz to test how much you really know about scary movies. It also provides an A-Z list of the best-known horrors, so you'll know exactly what to rent for your scary sleepover."

Slither
Yes, finally, Slither made it into the vault!
Although not the most original of films, as it is pretty much "The Blob", "The Thing", and "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" all mixed up with any zombie film you care to mention, it just had that certain special something that lifted it almost to "Tremors" level in quality.
It was sufficiently gory, CGI unfortunately but with some latex and buckets of blood for good measure, and was certainly humourous enough. Nathan Fillion was so charismatic as the Sheriff that I've almost forgiven him now for blinding Xander in Buffy but not quite. Everyone gives a great performance and it has enough horror for horror fans and enough humour for comedy fans.
As you can imagine, I liked it most for the creative use of profanity and the presence of Elizabeth Banks who is absolutely perfect in every way! Actually I also liked the dark haired girl too!
Even the amusing country tune at the end was just icing on the cake to a throughly enjoyable experience. For those who didn't watch past the final credits, it looks like that cat will be the cause of a possible sequel.
I'd love to see a sequel to this as it was all over a bit too fast. Just like Tremors, this will be a cult film for many, but unlike Tremors, I hope it doesn't end up with quite such appalling follow-ups.
If you haven't seen it, go and rent or buy it now. I don't say this very often at all. This is probably the best film of its type this century! In other words, it's great!0 Comments 993 days
