We would like to express our sincere apologies again for Steve Lawler’s cancelation last week. Following the cancelation of Felix Da Housecat in August it was a killer blow for us and a serious case of bad luck.
All we can do is put this behind us, plan the rescheduled date with Steve Lawler and look forward to our forthcoming events.

Big thanks to Desyn Masiello however for stepping up last minute and delivering a quality set as we expected he would alongside an excellent warm-up from Jamie McKenzie & Kirk Douglas. Anyone who chose not to attend can still take their tickets back to the outlet for a full refund.

It is with deep regret that I am writing to inform you that due to illness we have had to reschedule Steve Lawler’s’ performance tonight at Cabaret Voltaire.

He was really looking forward to playing for Musika and we are looking to reschedule the show early next year.

As you are aware a decision like this is not made lightly and I thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter.

So coming up next, this forthcoming Saturday(Nov 7th), FELIX DA HOUSECAT finally makes his Musika debut for our Musika Downtown offshoot @ Ocean Terminal following his cancellation in August. ALEX METRIC of Marine Parade fame is in support, recently signed to Radio1, as one of the ‘In New Music We Trust’ DJs, so hot property to say the least. The night also features local DJs Gary Mac(We Are Electric), Neil Bartley & Derek Martin.

Following our recent run of bad luck, we have stressed to all involved that another cancellation would be disastrous and have been assured that FELIX DA HOUSECAT shall not miss this event. His agency has confirmed that his girlfriends baby has finally arrived and in good health we're happy to say(with this being the reason for the cancellation in August) and flights are booked especially early to avoid any possible flight problems. Felix arrives into Edinburgh early Saturday morning and is keen to make amends for the disappointment in August.

Hi Everyone,

We'd like to offer our sincere apologies for Saturday past's cancellation. This is only the 2nd time this has happened at a Musika event. Felix fiancé went into premature labour, so there was nothing we or Felix's management could do about it. We were only informed on Saturday afternoon and the initial plan was to find a suitable replacement, but no one suitable was available at such last minute.

We are working with the management to confirm a rescheduled date, which will be offered to everyone who attended Saturday at half price with your ticket stub.

Anyone who chose not to attend can receive a full refund from the ticket outlet they purchased from, using their full ticket.

Musika - Saturday 29th August 2009

Felix is very disappointed to announce that due to serious personal issues he is unable to play this evening’s event.

The event is still going ahead with extended sets from SLAM, Smokin’ Jo, resident DJs Derek Martin and Jamie McKenzie and a live performance from Japanese Popstars.

Customers wishing a refund must retain full ticket and not enter the venue and return to point of purchase on Monday for refund.

Customers still wishing to attend the event, please retain ticket stubs and receive half price entry to rescheduled event that Felix will headline which will be announced on www.musikanights.com next week.


Statement from Felix Management:

Felix will not be available this weekend and has to cancel his show with you.

Felix is extremely disappointed about this and was very much looking forward to this weekend over all other weekends this summer due to just having his birthday and album release this week. The reasons for his cancelations are extremely serious and take priority in his life right now. His pregnant fiancé, started to experience some serious medical problems on Wednesday of this week and Felix cannot leave her bedside this weekend. We didn’t cancel until today (Saturday) for his Saturday and Sunday shows because yesterday it looked like a different situation than it does today and last minute flights were still possible.

Please accept Felix’s apologies and know that he is truly disappointed that he will not be able to perform for your show and his fans this weekend.

A rescheduled show will be arranged this forthcoming week.
