- We are a professional Celtic dance group, specialising in Highland and Irish dance. Our dancers are highly trained and perform traditional dances as well as contemporary choreographed dances.
Based in Central Scotland, the dance troupe was founded in June 2006 and have since performed in many events and functions worldwide, proving popular wherever we go.
Our dances are based on traditional Highland and Irish dances but we also do Cape Breton and elements of modern jazz and ballet.
We are available to hire for private functions, public/corporate events, festivals, ceilidhs, etc and performances can be tailored to suit individual requirements

Due to the unprecedented success and demand for this innovative slant on Scottish Traditional Dance, STDT requires additional tutors comfortable and familiar in delivering Scottish Fusion dance. This training day, led by STDT’s Resident Dance Tutor, Lisa Kennedy, will equip the already competent dance tutor in this exciting dance form, using familiar Ceilidh dances such as the Gay Gordons and the Dashing White Sergeant, as well as some lesser known ones and fuse them with other styles.
