Stardate 2007-04-23/ 20.20
It is lightyears since that last blog and an absolute pile has happened!
First of all 'The Couple' got married on TUBAL and all went well. Besides being short the third cruiser the day before and us begging a passer-by to help out- They did! And if our 'Boat in Shining Armour' sees this: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Again!! Besides wet paint, Gale force winds, the prop on the Bride's Super Air finding a rock, the priest forgetting the names- they said 'I Do' .
On the way back home Mark got into serious fog and had to anchor for 4 hours until it lifted and he could see his way. It took nearly three days to get back home between TUBAL losing her Port engine again and Meelick lock having the last opening at 6.
Anyway, since then we have had an absolute flying start to the season. Easter weekend was booked solid, the weather was just georgeous, the water flat and we got 7 Eastereggs!
Work on TUBAL has ground to a halt, but all the insulation is still lurking in the ski room threatening to be fitted. When, I really don't know- maybe when the inevitable cold snap comes, there will be some time.
The wind turned south two days ago, which makes the worst water for us and today was the first real day of rain, hence I have a few minutes for this blog.
And there I was thinking the summer was already here to stay : )

It's official: The season has started!!
Yup, the lads were out riding yesterday! Not too long, mind you, but there was a backroll! Apparently the water was cold but flat.
Today was another nice day and the gang went out practising emergency stops and man-over-board drills in the Super Air in preparation of next weekends Wakeboard Boat Driver's examination. All went well until we nearly lost our Jumping Charlie in the reeds! Well, the wind was kinda strong and Jumping Charlie (on account of being a simple auld fender) didn't do much swimming to help : )
Retired to the pub soon after for soup and sambos- all round a great weekend.

Eeny, meeny, miney, mo...for Valentines
This week is going to be very busy what with Valentines Day AND the Boatshow all happening at once!
Mark will be on the Correct Craft/ Ski and Surf Ireland stand exhibiting (and selling) the 2007 range of Connelly Wakeboards, Skis and Bindings and of course Nautique Boats.
For all Valentines, Guys and Gals, an excellent excuse to take themselves (and each other) off to have a look at them- the Girl's wakeboarding gear is only georgeous! I'd pass on the dinner, candles, chocolates and roses any time in exchange for some girly stuff : )
And the new Boats are awesome! Our Jury is still out on which one is nicer: the unusual Cross-over 211 or the outrageous all new Super Air 210! Hmm...what a choice...eeny, meeny, miney, mo....
