suSU stands for Soul Underground Soul Unity, and class.

The label hit the ground running, with a huge debut release Masters At Work 'Our Time Is Coming' album, which spawned the massive single 'Backfired' that set the bench mark for quality, soulful house releases, which have captured the hearts and ears of DJs and dancefloors all over the world, its got to be soulful and/or funky to get into that sleeve!

Label styling, A&Ring and plotting comes from Neil Rushton, credited for introducting Detroit techno to Europe via Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May, Manager of Inner City during their 'Big Fun' and 'Good Life' glory days and joint owner of one of dance music's most fabled labels Network Records. Currently manager of Octave One, and part of the ultra cool Birmingham dubmeister Groove Corporation.

All we concentrate solely on, is quality underground music, which allows our artists and producers to nurture their music and develop in a productive environment.
