close About Me
- Me, Myself, and I
- We're open for business and waiting for you!
Seriously, come on in, have a chat, a nice cuppa and relax any Friday or Saturday between 7pm and 11pm.
Keep us company, we're afraid of the dark!
What is the Hub??
The Hub Project has as its primary objective the provision of an exciting and alternative scene to fill a growing niche in the town of Ennis. We aim to achieve this by providing a space which has a warm and inviting atmosphere and combining it with the highest quality coffee and friendly service. A place to chat, pursue interests with like-minded people, to make new friends or simply relax from the weekly grind. By combining the skills and talents of our members we will continuously endeavour to seek out new opportunities to grow, develop and innovate. The outcome, we believe, will change the very dynamic of the community and establish a café culture. - We're behind you!
- If you've never been to The Hub and are wondering where to find us, don't worry, it's not that complicated. Just go to the market and find JD's Coffee House, then head down the alley to the right (you scared yet?!). Once you're down there you won't miss us, we're in the yellow building on the right with art all over it. Don't be intimidated, we're really quite friendly!
- Get it while it's hot...
- We're talking food, people! Our new menu is up and running. We've still got the old reliables like toasties, bagels and chocolate but now we've added pizza's, chips and Knickerbocker Glory's. And when it comes to drinks, we're not messing around, why not try a hot cup o' Damien Rice? Yes ladies, he's not just tasty to look at!
- Aims & Objectives
- An authentic coffee house atmosphere.
Alternative and cultural entertainment.
A place for special interest groups to meet.
A clear and open way for people to get involved with these groups, or to form their own.
Involvement of members in all decision-making.
Ongoing projects to develop the scope of the Hub.
The Project was made possible by the financial support of the Irish Youth Foundation and RRD Leader and has received additional support from Clare VEC, Ennis Town Council, and The People in Need Trust. - *Comment cards and Suggestion boxes*
- We don't have either but don't let that stop you! We're more than willing to listen to your ideas, in fact, we encourage it. So, why not leave us a comment comment down below, a suggestion e-mail in our inbox or if you're really tough, say it to our faces!
- Coming soon...
- Well, since we've just got started with our new committee we haven't got anything set in stone yet but you can look forward to things like: Gig Nights, Movie Nights and more outdoor activties are on the way too. We're also going to try and get some fund raisers going, so once again, if you've any suggestions please pass them along. *All donations welcome!*

Pride of Place Thursday 23rd July
What is it? It's an all-island competition which recognises improvements by local communities to create civic pride in their area. The competition focus is on people coming together to shape, change and enjoy all that is good about their area. Community groups have the unique opportunity to showcase specific pride initiatives which will have long lasting and positive impacts on their society.
The Hub has been lucky enough to be one of the few chosen to represent Ennis. It's a great opportunity and we hope you can show up to support not only the Hub but Ennis too!
So, if you're free between 2pm-5pm this Thursday, even during your lunch break, call down! If you play an instrument you're more than welcome to bring that too.
See you there!
P.S. Tell your friends!0 Comments 129 days
