Not happy with my chorus eh? The cheek of it ... well, okay, it's not one of my strongest and anyway, didn't even really write a chorus for Pointless Song so chorus smorus.
Maybe I could write a chorus about an intrepid tight-rope walking giraffe and his quest for acceptance in an otherwise cruel world. Alone he strolls through woods and trolls (although what the trolls are doing there I have no idea. Stupid place to leave a troll) (unless of course this is all going on in Trollsville (12th exit, M6, third turning on the straight) in which case fair enough).
Okay, I'm typing rubbish. We all know intrepid tight-rope-walking giraffes don't exist. Well, not since they were banned under health and safety regulation 4.7.2 subclause B-minor(with a sneaky 7th, "because you're worth it"). Maybe though, just maybe one survived. Whooaaa-ha-ha (well, the evil laugh works better with a large white cat on the arm and a scar just under the left eye, at a slight angle - the scar, not the cat, the cat would fall off. Not that cats can fall of course. Oh no wait, they can fall, they can't fall over. You see, thin line, thin line). Anyway, from the one you could raise an evil army or tight-rope-walking giraffes. Okay, you might need two. Or one and a really clever scientist called Fred. Fred the Really Clever Scientist. Girls used to tease him, boys picked on him, but one day the world would marvel at his army of TRWGs - see, got tired of typing it - bread from a single TRWG. "There goes Fred the Really Clever Scientist" (now FtheRCS coz tired of typing that too), "Wow".
FtheRCS never set his sights too high. A "Wow" was enough or as he'd say were he cool 'nuff said, but he wasn't so he didn't.
Anyway, to really be FtheRCS his TRWGs would need a name, and not just an ordinay name, not like 'Cliff'. What would you call an army on TRWGs. History doesn't really give you any clues, I mean if you look through the histories books you're unlikely to find a story about an army of (now AAO) TRWGs. FtheRCS checked for AAO TRWGs in HBs (history books) but the only AAO TRWGs FtheRCS found in HBs was in 1243, around lunchtime when AAO TRWGs terrorised a little dog around lunchtime. Even in that case no one had thought to ask them their (collective) name. Anyway, Giraffes can't talk. And even if they could what's the chances of us understanding Giraffe? Especially around lunchtime on a slightly sunny Tuesday afternoon. Scones for tea anyone?

3 new songs!
OK, long time no blog. Apologies.
Remote Control got finished and it is as heavy as we had hoped, for some reason though I can't upload it to bebo, it keeps teling me that it isn't an mp3 file... Soon as I figure that one out, I'll get it posted.
Since Remote Control, we have pretty much completed work on two more new songs, Pointless Song and Unforgivable, both of those are up here for your aural titilation.
Tim and I also hope to get soem new photos sorted soon, some with an actual clue behind them, and we may even get them in focus is we are feelign particularly adventurous.
Next new song, currently in the works is called Restricted (at the moment anyway, although I'm not a big fan of the chorus lyric, so that may change. That once again depends on motivation to actually get off my arse and change it). I'd say we're about 30% done on Restricted, soon as we have a rough mix of it, I'll post it up for you.0 Comments 947 days

It's heavy, it's fucking heavy man
More work, more writing and recording last night. We both really wanted to get back to doing something heavy after the last couple of softer songs, so that's what we're up to.
The song is called Remote Control (no, not a cover of the excellent Clash track) and is one we have had hanging around for some time, but never actually recorded. The big advantage of that is that the finished product should be ready pretty quickly as we both know the song relatively well.
Last night we got 2 guitar tracks down, the drums and the bass, some of the guitar still needs work and obvioulsy we have the vocal nightmare still to come
By the end of the night last night though, it was already sounding like a song, and sounding pretty damn good too. It's the first song where I can really hear the Ant influence...
