FOA are having a Christmas Cocktail Extravanganza fundraiser on Sunday 27th December 2009 in The Wild Duck Portglenone! Do ur bit for African projects this year and show your support for Friends of Africa



Friends of Africa was formed in 1998. Since 1998 we have become a registered charity. Over the past 10 years we have had 16 long term volunteers and over 30 short-term volunteers involved with various projects in Africa. Friends of Africa has helped set up street children centres and more recently has developed initatives in learning through sport, performing arts.

We have also had two fundraising trips to Kilimanjaro, where members of the group climbed this mountain to help raise funds for the charity. Conan loved hiking up the big mountain....

      Lads, I'm so sorry that there are no photos of the Christmas Party in Renshaws or of the Christmas Retreat or of the hugely successful and not at all mortifying Carol Singing, but I lost my camera! I found it again there though, so there'll be loads of pics up of the Backdoor Inn night and of New Year's eve night! Wreck er! - Aisling B!

      Sur, if ye fancy a wile night’s craic on Monday the 7th of April get yer durty bum down to the Hatfield in belfast for 9clock. Im holding a fundraiser for my trip to Africa this summer so your support will be greatly appreciated. Im heading out along with Friends of Africa which is one of the few charitys that does not have any administration fees, therefore every penny goes to the people who need it the most.

      On the night there will be live entertainment from a New all girl band called Spree, a raffle, wet t-shirt competition and a wee bita a disco afterwards along with a special celebrity guest appearance! So clearly it’s gonna be wile craic!!

      Doors open at 9pm and it is £3 entrance. Hope to see ye there and bring all yer friends!!
