I am currently in the midst of moving in with Caroline in Royston, Hertfordshire, and am planning on doing this shortly, before I start as a student (latter in early 2009, probably, tbc!). Yeah, life's back to front sometimes!

Mug Cake
I found this last week via a friend on LJ , and made one for C that evening. She loved it... unfortunately, next one I made wasn't as good for some reason, needed a bit longer... maybe just microwave having an off-day. Anyway, enjoy!
* Put 4 tablespoons of plain flour, 4 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cocoa in a mug and mix thoroughly.
* Add 1 egg, and mix well.
* Add 3 tablespoons of milk and 3 tablespoons of oil – mix again until well combined.
* If desired, add chocolate chips and a splash of vanilla.
* Microwave the mug for 3 minutes at 1000 watts or 4 minutes at 700 watts (the cake will rise above the top of the mug but don’t panic!)
* Allow to cool, turn out onto a plate if you like.
* Apparently margarine tastes better than oil – but you have to add this before the egg and milk instead of after.0 comentarios 390 días

We're engaged...
... and here is how it happened!
Wednesday I was out, traveling around, went for a new hairdo (five hours of highlights!), then had to call C to pick me up. Got pizza on the way! We went home, and we were already tired, and I started talking sweet nothings, again. I’d started on the A10 on the way back to Royston, pretty much like I’d done the first day we fell in love.
I had her on the MagicSofa (TM), and started talking about paperwork getting in the way of love, and then... made my proposition, based on when Caroline gets her GRC.
Looked at her face, and she said “Bloody hell...”
So, I asked for an answer, and she said “Yes, of course”, before we started talking again. See what I was talking about patience? Well, after eighteen and a bit months, with lots of love and support, she’s now my fiancé, and vice-versa!
In addition to the traditional ring, I’d got her a necklace, well one each. I was browsing online, and thought it was most apt – not just because I got us a “heart” necklace shortly after we started seeing each other. - with a double Venus symbol in silver.
So, C is still a bit gobsmacked, but we are very happy!

Our last few weeks
OK, so I've been overlooking Bebo!
Today (Sunday 31st August) marks our 17 month anniversary!
Yesterday (Saturday 30th August) we were at Pink Festival Cambridge, pics to follow in a few minutes!
Bank Holiday (Monday 25th August) was C's birthday, so I spoiled her all weekend!
The weekend before it, Friday 15th to Sunday 17th August, we were away for a weekend to Reading and Newbury, visiting an ex colleague of C's, and going for some interesting travels. Got stuck behind a stolen bus for just over two hours on the way home though!
Earlier in the month, launched my first book for sale (finally!) and have had a few interesting journeys, pushing back the boundaries as far as I can! Well, while I can...!
September is likely to include some time up north, in preparation for moving out of my flat in Dundee. Think I should be up for that! Also, catch up with all up there, if I get the chance!
End of September is the start of my first Open Uni module, and first week in October for the other one. So, I'm going to be a student, this will be the first year, taking me up to next June 2009!

Me, James and the kids are fine....James passed his bus driving test and now works for S.T so he is in his element lol and I only have 8 months left of my nursing course.
