    BURNLEY 1-1 ASTON VILLA
Emile Heskey scored his first goal of the season as Aston Villa rescued a late point with a 1-1 draw away to Burnley.

Heskey headed home a James Milner cross after Brian Jensen had unconvincingly punched the ball clear from a corner.

Steven Caldwell had earlier beaten Richard Dunne and Brad Friedel to a Robbie Blake free-kick to put the home team in front.

Brian Jensen denied Gabriel Agbonlahor while Friedel saved a long-range strike from Steven Fletcher.

Stewart Downing made his long awaited first appearance for Villa when he came on as a substitute.

Villa move up to 4th in the table after Liverpool drew 2-2 at home to Manchester City while Tottenham Hotspur play on tomorrow.

    MATCH PREVIEW: VILLA v SPURS
This is probably our most important game of the season so far. Villa and Spurs will both be challenging for a top four finish. This is a massive game and if we win fourth suddenly becomes a very realistic target, draw and it's still a possibility but lose and we may forget about fourth and focus on the top six.

Spurs are in great form and we've been in decent form in the past few weeks. We've only lost one home game in all competitions this year so it's hard to see us losing. I think it's destined for a draw.

MY PREDICTION: Aston Villa 1-1 Spurs

PROBABLE LINE-UP: Friedel, L.Young, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Milner, Sidwell, Petrov, Young, Carew, Agbonlahor.

It's going to be an interesting season as we are in a mini-league with Liverpool, Man City and Spurs for that fourth spot.

Hopefully we'll also see Downing make his home debut on Saturday as well.

Yea 1-1 is not a bad result. Alot of teams will come away wit nothing from Burnley at home this season. Cud to see heskey scoring even though i dont rate him. Downing back in the team quicdr than i expected. He will give us more options. Great news

Burnley away on Saturday. It's going to be a tough one but I think we'll see it through. We have a lot of players returning from international duty so fatigue could be a factor. Hopefully Collins is fit because he'll be a key player on Saturday. Luke Young or Carlos Cuellar in right-back? I think after the Bolton game L.Young will start.

PROBABLE LINE-UP: Friedel, L.Young, Dunne, Collins, Warnock, Milner, Reo-Coker, Petrov, Young, Carew, Agbonlahor.

    PREDICTION: Burnley 1-2 Aston Villa

I feel gutted for Dunne. I feel gutted for all the Irish lads because France basically cheated full stop. Time for video technology not only because of last night but how many times have we been slating referees over bad decisions in Villa games. Ireland deserve to go to South Africa because Henry is a disgrace to the sport and the match HAS to be replayed for the good of football.

Luv the villa. Just a special mention if i may to richard dunne and the irish team. Dunne deserves to play in a world cup. I hope henry, the french and uefa/fifa are proud of themselves for bringing great shame to the world of football. Football can b a funny old game and also a corrupt game :( VTID

I think Luke decided last february that he was going to give up international footy, this was the first time he was picked since then,so he then informed the English FA of his decision,im thinking spending time with his family had a part to play in his decision, and im so sorry for him and his family about his half brother.England's loss is most definately Villa's gain though, quality player and very underrated imho,Villa top 4 this season,UTV!!!!!

I don't think he snubbed it because of that, It's because of his Injuries, and grieving for his Half-Brother...

Luke Young was 110% right to turn down his England call-up. Fabio Capello only wants him because Glen Johnson & Wes Brown are injured.

He's right to snub England because he's far better than Brown, Lescott and Bridge yet hasn't been capped since 2005. That's not right! He's right though.

Luke Young can now focus on Aston Villa, just as well because he's our best right-back and we need him fully fit.
