His career started off as a model, Miyavi soon joined a band named Du Le Quartz. In 2002, the band broke up, and Miyavi started his own career as a solo musician.
He has an amazingly high ego and confidence in himself, so high that he calls himself: "Oresama" which means: "I am supreme royalty/majesty".
