- Raffrey is a small village near Ballygowan, Co. Down.
The band started competing seriously in 2005 in grade 4B, and after 2 successful years the band was upgraded to 3B. In the band's first season in 3b the band competed in 3 major championships and came away with a top 6 finish at each.
The band has just finished the 2008 season as Northern Ireland Champion of Champions and have been promoted to 3A for the 2009 season.
The band is under the leadership of Francis Strain, with Ian Cherry as lead drummer.
