- The Chapters have been building to the release of their debut album for some time – since they formed in college. It is the culmination of years of passion and hard work. Newly signed to 3u Records (home of The Coronas), the band spent a month in the studio in early 2009. The result is the debut album: Perfect Stranger. It is the sound of old friends at a celebration. Rumours era Fleetwood Mac singing at a party hosted by Talking Heads, gatecrashed by The Cars, throw in a bit of Phoenix and a wink to The Band and you have the idea.
First single 'Videotapes' released 1st May 2009.
'Perfect Stranger' is released 5th June 2009

THE CHAPTERS ANNOUNCE HEADLINE ACADEMY DATE
The Chapters have announced a headline date at The Academy, Dublin on Friday 20 November. Tickets go on sale this Friday priced €14.50 incl. booking fee.
Following a busy 9 months with the band selling out Academy 2 and Whelan’s shows and a slot on the Hot Press New Bands stage at Oxegen The Chapters are a band with their star on the rise.
The Chapters formed in Dublin and quickly built up a large live following off the back of tracks like Heart of Glass and The Four Thorns EP and support slots with legends like Neil Young and Chuck Berry. In late 2008, they were all set to hit the studio to record their debut album when everything fell apart, the global economy crashed and so did the record company.
The Chapters weren’t destined to be homeless for very long though as independent Irish label 3ú came on board and the band released their debut album Perfect Stranger to critically acclaimed reviews in June 2009. Produced by up and coming producer Ciaran Bradshaw, the album provided radio hit Videotapes as a debut single which battled it out with none other than Bruce Springsteen on the itunes Rock Charts in week of release. Mid Summer release Trying to get Ahead coincided with The Chapters busy summer festival tour taking in INDIEPENDENCE, Castlepalooza & Oxegen.
The Autumn of 2009 sees no slow down in The Chapters busy schedule. Having already supported Kelly Rowland and OK GO as part of the Arthur’s Day Celebrations and played live at The Music Show, The Chapters now set out on tour with stable mates The Coronas for twelve dates around Ireland before taking in their own 6 date tour culminating with a headline show at Dublin’s Academy venue on November 20th. In the midst of all this touring, The Chapters will release their strongest single to date as Moving hits the airwaves on October 30th.
Tickets for The Chapters priced €14.50 incl. booking fee go on sale at Ticketmaster outlets from this Friday, 9 October.
