stands for japenese domestic market,only cars that have come from japan are known as JDM cars as they have only been released and sold in japan
there is only 3 type R's that are legendary
the civic R ek9
the integra R dc2
and the NSX r
the FD2 Type R (JDM) is the only true successor to the EK9 Type R, the EP3 is an anomaly, it only exists as a tribute to the Type R, it has very little or none of the characteristics that made the Type R legendary.
remember this, only JDM spec Type R's are hardcore, the real deal, outside of JDM (USDM & UKDM) they are just poor copies, the Japanese keep all the good stuff for themselves.
