Video update: Bohemian Rhapsody rehearsal
This is on of the last rehearsals for the Queen project. The organizers have just decided that it is not good that the choir and the orchestra stay immobile during the fast part of Bohemian Rhapsody when everybody's dancing. So they asked us to join. I'd never thought that cello and other clarinette players are so easily ready to this! And I don't speak about the ladies in the choir. However, it is (so far) more difficult for men chorists, even for those playing in a rock band... But it will be OK during the shows...0 Comments 86 weeks

Video update: Somebody to Love rehearsal
It is difficult to learn to sing the pop music when you're a classic music singer. It is even more difficult to teach it to classic music singers when you're classic music teacher. Pop-rock rythm has nothing similar with the classic ones. The easiest way to learn is to leave aside the score and just to do music but for classic music players it usually seems too difficult.
Jean Maumene from Clamart music school is overcoming these difficulties, related to the learning-and-teaching of Queen's Somebody To Love, quite well. Look how gracefully he is moving here with the cam! By the way, this synchrony is absolutely accidental: I was moving the cam just trying to capture the chorists one by one, and it turned out to be that my hand and Jean was going the same direction at the same time and with the same speed.0 Comments 86 weeks

Video update: bicyle ride
It was filmed during a bicycle ride on the Couléé Verte to the South of Paris. It goes from Paris Montparnasse railway station to Massy long and above the high speed rail line. On video you can see the part of the itinerary somewhere between Bourg-la-Reine and Sceaux. Here you can see all the best features of this itinerary: a lot of plants, narrow snaking path with its ups and downs, and the railroad (this is RER B). Ride here is a great pleasure, especially when the traffic is low (which is not usually the case). The part filmed may be a real source of adrenaline if you ride it at a constant speed of about 24 km/h or more (if you can and if you're sure there will be no opposing traffic). Что-то вечером меня совсем одолели воспоминания о поездках во Францию, видимо, сказался ужин с вином и сырами с плесенью, пусть и не французскими

Пожалуй, при такой жаре, задымленности и комарах (к концу лета особо выносливые особи долетели все-таки до моего этажа) только мечтать и остается о лучшей жизни где-нибудь в Париже. -

Почему Славки и снег хлопьями? Мне казалось, ты любишь, когда идет снег, так что очень хотелось, чтобы ты это тоже видел: сложно представить во Франции настолько интенсивный снегопад - зрелище невероятной красоты! В общем, сплошная романтика... Вот тебе еще сердечко!

Всегда начинаю думать о Славках, когда вижу, что на улице идет снег, особенно, такой как сейчас: хлопьями по два, а то и три сантиметра – такое здесь и зимой не каждый день увидишь!
