I don't even know how long it has been since I wrote last. All I can say is I do it when I can and when I think of it.
Yesterday morning, I was on my usual walk and on the way back I found 2 abandoned kittens. They were skin and bones, wet and shivering. Of course I couldn't leave them there. They are doing very well considering what they have been through. They are so precious. I'm gonna try to add some pics that I took with my phone. It costs money to email them,so it will only be 2 pics. I need to find a good home for them........we can't have 2 more cats in this house. Right now it is dangerous with my 2 cats and I have to keep them separated at all times. I won't give the kittens away until I have them at a healthy weight. They are just to frail to move off somewhere else right now. They need lots of rest.
We got a new roof and carpet this month! Next month is new windows! I'll send in pics when I get them devoped........I still don't have a digital camera.
Well, gotta cut this short as I got to check in on the kittens and eat dinner.
    Till next time........

It has been a long and brutal winter here in NW PA. Actually, it wasn't really that long, but it seemed like it with how cold and snowy it was. We didn't actually have any snow until January. That is when it started and didn't end until about a week ago. We got at least 4' of snow and single digit temps. Windchill was below zero much of the time :O
This winter gave our woodstove a good run. We even ran out of firewood and had to have more delivered. Thankfully, we have a friend that is cheap and reliable with that :)
Our digital camera bit the dust >:( So, I haven't been able to take any pics for quite a while. I do have a few still on the card that I need to download, but just haven't gotten to it yet. I highly advise everyone to avoid buying a Samsung ditigal camera. It bit the dust in less than 2 yrs. I got online to see what the reviews were and they were horrible. I wish I would have done that BEFORE buying it! I will know better next time.
We are debating on whether to have it fixed (they charge $150) or just get a different one. It is a camcorder/camera all in one, so we will have to shop around and see which way would be most cost effective.
It has been springlike here the past few days. Yesterday was wonderful! About 70 and sunny! Ken and I went for a 2 mile walk and did a little yard work. Today is in the 60's, but rain. It is suppose to be wintery again by the weekend with temps in the 20's-30's and snow. Brrrrrrrrr.
    Well, gotta run.

Major sad news......we had to put our beloved dog, Abby, to sleep November 9, 2006.:( She was 11 yrs. old and will be greatly missed. It was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do. I balled like a baby all the way home afterwards and right up to falling asleep that night. I woke up with major puffy, red eyes.
I still find myself expecting her to be at the door when I come home. We had a routine with her that is taking a while to break away from.
She was diagnosed with perianal tumors about 3 yrs. ago. She did great the first 2 yrs., but in the past year she started showing signs of decline. Plus, hip displysia came into the picture. I could no longer take her on walks that she loved so much.
I knew the time had come to make that dreaded decision. As hard as it was, I knew it was what was best for her. I didn't want her to suffer anymore.
She was the greatest dog we ever had. Her disposition was so sweet, yet you knew she would die to protect us. She never bit anyone, but have no doubt she would if needed. Thankfully, it never was.
I don't think I could have another dog. Not anytime in the near future.
She was nearly the perfect dog. Just can't be replaced.

what is a friend to Me!

A friend is one whom listens to all you have to say and keeps eye contact to let you know they are listening and watching your expressions as you talk.
When you need a Hug and consolting they are there to lend a shoulder or arms to love you.

They are always honest with you and are not afraid...
