The Beasts of Eden <thebeastsofeden>
"YearOfTheBeast"

Established in 2006 by founding members Chris V and Chris B, the duo quickly enlisted the services of bassist Jon Shaw (The Walkmen and LA's Broken West) and distinctive drummer Carter Mclean (Drummer for Hit Broadway show The Lion King).
The Beasts of Eden was born of two friends who shared similar visions: catchy, hook-laden rock, rife with melodies and dreamy, atmospheric qualities, all the while grounded with hard-hitting rhythms and edgy guitars.
The Beasts have already enjoyed great success: whether with the title track "End Times" off their debut EP being used in the new Ford/Microsoft Sync commercial (also featuring artists The Strokes and Flaming Lips), their involvement with Playboy Magazine and the massively influential “Rock the Rabbit” campaign, or the exuberant support of BBC One Radio icons Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe, The Beasts Of Eden are creating a mark in the industry, and loving every minute of it.
The Beasts are looking forward to their first ful

  • Cabo San Lucas and Rock The Rabbit

    Oh shit!!!!

We made it back in one piece guys and girls...barely i might add. All i can say at the moment is WOW!!!!! The whole trip was incredible and full of tons of debachary and chaos and white brooklyn boys being burnt to a crisp. Playboy did it BIG for us and we really have to give them BIG props, especially to L Boogie who took care of us like a big sister and a MR. Chris Duncan who is always handling biz. Oh! and our main man Victor Menendez who kept the sound tight for us and the photos blazing. I know your struggling hard at work today...hahaha..

The Playmates were very nice too and we all played nice together throughout the trip. Those girls are all sweethearts and we thank them as well for being soooo damn cool :) Good luck to you ladies and all your future endevors, we had a great time with you!!

Now, most of the band made it back yesterday night but our front man is still there going nuts!! CV decided he would stick around for a few more days of chaos and fun in the sun. Most likely hollering at ladies and getting intense spa treatment. HA. I believe he said he had some unfinished bizness to attend to. Hahaha if you guys only knew and you will the more you get to know all of us. Do it BIG CV and come back in one piece please. We have a new record to start on and cant be minus a lead singer. That boy is CRAZY!!! I think we all made enough friends with the locals that we are sure he’ll be ok but you never know with his crazy ass.

From red carpet walks to photo op’s to bottle service at the club to ripping shit at Club Cabo Wabo to getting burnt to a crisp at Nikki Beach....I must say it was a huge success and we thank everyone involved getting us there and setting it up nicely for the band. This was one for the book’s and something we’ll always remember. Till we all meet again in Cabo singing "Sensual Seduction" till the early morning light, this is CB signing off for the band.

we miss you already Cabo :)

  • Debut EP

    Oh yes!!

Our debut EP "End Times" is just around the corner from release guys and girls!! Street date in UK/Europe is March 31 at all good CD + digital domains...yes, itunes too! We are very very excited about this and hope you will go out and grab yourselves and family and friends and martians and elephants a copy of this wonderful, exciting and magical record. It really has all those things in the music and when you use the scratch n sniff sticker on the inside of the cd you’ll know why. Mmmmm good. Now, alot of people have asked about the recording process and where and how and what not it was done. Well, the guys and myself are proud to say we did that shit ourselves in CVs’ loft in Brooklyn. Oh technology u bless us with your amazing affordable gear and we thank you for that. Let me just say it was quite an experience for us ALL. Running up and down chris’ stairs moving mic’s around yelling "how does it sound now!!", "can you hear the creative juice coming through?!", "does this sound fucked or is it just me?" It can be hard sometimes doing shit on your own becuase you have to know when to just LET IT GO! We could have geeked out on it forever but we think all in all its a good introduction for US as a band and YOU as a future FAN even though i think our sound has developed past this and even more into a BEAST which you will all hear on the full length record later in the year. God we’ve got some sick shit for you guys. Although these ep tunes are bit old to us we still had alot of clarity/doubts/hangovers and moments like "this is fucking kick ass!!" while recording it and we hope you enjoy it. Our next round of music will still entail plenty of hard hitting catchy tunes and juicy love making melodies with danceable treats for the masses so stay tuned! The full length later in the year ETA around September i think, followed by a massive tour and our take over of the planet...ha...Go grab one guys and support us in our journey into the musical stratosphere and beyond...i mean really, its only 4 pounds :)

    yours truly

  • Rock the Rabbit

Well kids our involvement with Playboy and Rock the Rabbit is right around the corner and boy are we getting excited!! From the clowdy skys of London to the sun filled beaches of Cabo, The Beasts of Eden are on the scene!!!

The band just got back from a recent UK tour and wow was that an amazing time. Good people and great responses coupled with many vicious hangovers. I think the band went through some serious detoxification since we got back. We needed it. Visiting Abbey Road on a private tour was definately the icing on the cake for us since we are ALL big Beatles fans. Thanks to Shelby J for hooking that up!! Thanks to everyone who came up and said hi. It was nice meeting some of our new fans we cant wait to come back. Check our pic's section for tour photo's :)

After this Cabo trip the band will be nustled away in a houe upstate NY working on our first Full Length record. To say the least, we are very very excited about this!! We've been patiently waiting for the right time to do this and now is it!! The ideas are flowing and the momentum is right. We hope you all spread the Beastly word in 2008. Its going to be a good one. We are on the bottom right in the pic.....so cool!

    cheers
