Hi,
We'll be having leafleting sessions on Tuesday 7th, and a protest in support of the SHAC campaign on Thurs. 9th. If you're free to join us on either (or both!) days, please do! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here's where we'll be on Tuesday 7th:
*Anti-Fur*: 12.30 - 2pm, Department of Agriculture (Kildare Street, Dublin 2)
*Anti-Vivisection*: 2pm - 2.45pm, Trinity College (Lincoln Place/Westland Row, Dublin 2 - the entrance to the science buildings)
*Pro-Veganism*: 2.45pm - 3.30pm, McDonald's (10-11 Grafton Street, Dublin 2)
And here's the plan for Thursday 9th:
Meet at: Around 12.30pm at the main entrance of the Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, as our demo location is only a short walk from there.
Demo: 1pm - 3pm, Novartis Pharmaceuticals (Regus House, Harcourt Road, Dublin 2) - they are one of HLS' biggest customers.
Hope to see you then!

Hi everyone,
It is N.A.R.A.'s 2nd anniversary today, and so I have put together another "Year in Review" to mark the occasion!
It's been a great year, and I hope you're all so proud of what we've achieved together. Thank you so much for every letter you've written, petition you've signed, event you've attended, animal you've helped find a home for, donation you've made, and for all the hard work and research so many of you have done for the group - you're all an inspiration to me.
We're a great team and I hope we'll have even more successes for the animals next year!
Enjoy the review,
Laura x

OTHER CAMPAIGNING NEWS:
A expose on Irish fur farms was produced and sent to us, which we released and sent to 113 politicians, radio stations, newspapers and SPCA’s. This resulted in a lot of attention for the issue, and we were fortunate to be able to discuss the expose and campaign on many radio stations around the country, and we even had a live debate with one of Ireland’s fur farmers.
Author, John Banville, publicly got onboard with our campaign to stop animal experiments in Trinity College - which resulted in an enormous amount of media coverage and debates on the vivisection issue - as well as an investigation on animal testing in Ireland.
Countrywide list of restaurants serving foie gras compiled - adding a total of 73 new campaign targets.
In the past year, we have received 237 emails from people through our website - asking questions, looking for advice, requesting information or info packs, asking to join our group or looking for help to set up their own.
We protested against the first “Anti-Animal Rights Seminar” in Ireland, which was hosted in Dublin.

Hi,
Saturday 4th July will be the official launch of our "Fur Farm Exposé Tour". Every Saturday in July, we'll be traveling to the fur farming counties in Ireland, setting up information tables, doing leaflet drops, and protesting outside the actual fur farms.
We'll be kick-starting the tour in Co. Laois, home to Ireland's largest fur farm, where we protest every year.
We won't be hiring mini-buses for these events, so are relying on activist's own cars for transport. We have two cars so far, so please get back to me as soon as possible to reserve a seat! Also, if you'd be willing to offer additional transport for the day, please get in touch.
The plan for the day:
Meet at: 10.30am sharp, Sat. 4th July, outside the Hugh Lane Art Gallery (Parnell Square, Dublin 1) for pick-up.
We'll be travelling to Portlaoise, Co. Laois, where we'll spend 2 - 3 hours doing a fur farm information table and also leafleting the town.
Then, we'll be heading to Stradbally, Co. Laois for a big, noisy protest outside Vasa Ltd. Fur Farm. This is Ireland's largest fur farm - they kill over 45,000 mink every year there.
We'll be finishing the protest by around 5pm or so, and should be back in Dublin by about 7pm.
Please remember to get back to me as soon as possible if you want to come!
Thanks,

About 30,000 greyhound pups are registered every year between Ireland and the U.K. The number bred is actually many thousands more than this, when taking into account pups that never get registered, and those killed by breeders at a very young age because they fail to reach racing standards.

Animals don’t belong in circuses - a fact which should be obvious to most people. But sadly, hundreds of animals continue to be enslaved in these travelling menageries every year.
